Re: Tyranids vs Wraithguard?
Hormagaunts, ravenors, genes, lictor, I mostly do imperial guard but the problem is mostly the same, any sort of ranged blob or large target entity like a vehicle, tyrant guard, or carni is going to get mauled by even a single wraith guard. Triple wg has to be tied up, your are not out shooting that...

Re: Paladin Shockwave
Which is why you shouldn't ignore damage type.
Fair enough. All I'm saying is that until I get to tier 3 playing as Grey knights there are lots of things that are really scary for me because they have such good early damage out puts. In tier 2 I could get flame purgs...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback
I'm with Atlas on this. Hell I even tried to make a whole other thread just for that load. And failed. Miserably XD. Still though I'm surprised no on is on about interceptors yet. I've had comparable success whether I go paladin/termie heavy or if I go interceptor heavy on tier 3. Double interceptor...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback
Nobs are doodoo The si Glen most legit statement In this thread. And the difference between them being op and up is knockdown resistance. Everything else seems to be rage from the regulars at being questioned so long and rage from the new guy at not being allowed to question. Where my popcorn I nee...

Paladin Shockwave
So I've gotten into it with a few people now. I felt like there are enough paladin complaints on the main 2.4 balance thing to warrant it's own link don't you? But I am Convinced the reason paladins can be so rough to deal with is because of Shockwave , and I think there is reasonable potential that...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback
Since GK have now multiple AV options it's now time to remove Paladins from the HQ and shift them to the global bar as a call in. With red cost. The retreat problem I would address as following: Give them one retreat and not more. You have to choose wisely when you play this card. I think I can bac...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback
Ok guys calm down before the wrath of moderators comes down on the thread. Torpid your right he is being silly but he has a point I think people are ignoring because they don't know the issue. In low level games the meta is different. Now it's easy to say it's a skill thing, and that because it is. ...

Re: storm trooper warrior acolyte regen aura
Thank you all for clearing that up.
I figured that's what was happening. And that is .25 regen per model in the radius correct? It's not limited to .25 for a whole squad?

storm trooper warrior acolyte regen aura
The question is simple, does his healing aura stack with other healing auras? For example if I went double ist ->yada yada-> double acolyte would their healing auras stack with eachother. I'm asking because I'm running a blob of double ist and double operatives ala swiftsabre and I'm finding it surp...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback
Why is no one complaining about the interceptors? Or shouting their praises? They are without a doubt the most troll tastic thing I've ever messed with. I love the snarky bastards. I miss having them tier 1 but damn these new versions are over the top. Teleporting slaughter csm that can fire psycann...

Re: Chaos Lord vs Orkz
Well I'm no chaos main myself but I think I can help. I mostly do imperial guard and my answer to the chaos lord is exactly the same as the orks answer you described: shoot the crap out of him. That being said I think chaos has a pretty unique and powerful option in the form of the pretty over the t...

Re: Deployable cover
Of course you're not going to find deployable cover useful when your guardsmen are mobile. Use them when you're holding a point that doesn't really have cover around it. Back up with (medical) bunkers and/or deployed Chimerae. Also helps to have catachans to counter those bloody banshees. Ah this i...

Deployable cover
So I gotta ask what's the deal with this. I feel like I am dealing with a asm blind grenades here in that I have no real idea how this performs and if it can't be traded for something else. I mean in most cases I want my guardsmen mobil, and I can't picture sitting still long enough to really make u...

Re: ASM blind grenades
Man im curious as hell about this. I cant recall ever seeing the thing in any replays. I almost feel like if you want to know more the only real way to do it is to make a dedicated effort to use it in game. But your right, compared to just jumping in and punching everything to hell with merciless st...

Re: (IG) buff leman russ plasma executioner
This thread is kind of funny since I would bank on the executioner being the best of the three cannon variations, while the vanquisher is the worst. For one thing, that executioner is literally almost the perfect weapon. It only has one downside and that is its range. And even then the Russ is ttoug...

Re: GK - OP?
Are gk op? No. I generally play with friends, and I generally play the imperial guard...because every time I bust out my Grey knights my friends cry "OP". The reason they cry op though is that they rarely play against them otherwise, and don't Understand how to counter them. It is worth me...

Re: Tac missile launcher
Wait it usee to be 40s to get the launcher out? Jeez. Anywho I agree that 40 power is way too much. Now if it worked like the sentinel missile launcher and could switch between frag and krak rounds...now THAT would be worth 40 power. I have a feeling it would over perform though, unless the build ti...

Re: Dark Excommunication
The problem with turning it into an area wide denial would be twofold: 1) It would be too similar to canticool. Differentiation between globals and unit abilities has historically been a key consideration. 2) It still completely shuts your shit down, so if you all think the current incarnation is O...

Re: Singing Spear
Funnily enough I did a quick comparison in the codex and the singing spear is actually the most powerful melee weapon a elder hero can get. I agree that it is really weird to not have some sort of ability on it, but it actually a very solid straight up weapon. It has the highest dps, second highest ...
