Re: Eldar Ideas
Channeling runes does get interrupted when the Warlock is knocked down. If it didn't, he probably had his shield up or something like the previous commenter pointed out. Do we really want to nerf Wraithlords? Wasn't a large part of the 2.8 Falcon nerfs to try to get people to actually buy the Wrait...

- If you are interested in stats, here's the rankings for Eldar in ESL m According to ESL, they have the second highest win rate behind Tyranids, which are kind of a dark horse given that theya re mostly played by a very small pool of individuals and given the general lack of understanding most pla...

I'm keen to watch replays but my only source is indrid casts. Eldar always losing in his replays except once in a 3vs3 vs nids If your only source of replays is Indrid Casts you shouldn't really be making comments. Indrid's channel is not educational on how to play, it is for entertainment and the ...

Re: Re-Evaluation of Dire Avengers
The main drawback to DA, I have found, is their lack of utility post-T1 when piercing damage doesn't mean shit. Good thing that's not the only thing they do then. They give perfect cover, cheap grenades, detect, repair. No utility ... LOL. Perfect cover: helps mitigate very low health and poor armo...

Re: Data Collection - win/loss statsistics by faction
Those numbers are exclusively for 1v1 in a formal setting though. Might be interesting to see 3v3 and 2v2 performance.
Regardless, win ratios by hero might be even more valuable. That might be where we see more meaningful differences.

Data Collection - win/loss statsistics by faction
Has anyone considered implementing a data-gathering element to the game where all wins and losses are compiled by race? I have no idea how this would be done, but it might be interesting (for the sake of balance) to know which races have a higher win/loss-rate than others, if any exists at all. This...

Re: Re-Evaluation of Dire Avengers
Eldar have a very high skill ceiling to play well, and if you don't believe me just try playing x3 DA. The main drawback to DA, I have found, is their lack of utility post-T1 when piercing damage doesn't mean shit. That, combined with their total lack of meaningful AV upgrades means they suffer a hu...

Dealing with ASM as Warlock
How the hell are you supposed to deal with ASM as warlock? Typical build is: Eldar Warlock x2 guardians x1 banshee x1 shuriplat SM FC x1 tac x2 scout x1 ASM I keep banshees in reserve behind the shuriplat and x2 guardians in front, trying to use warlock to tie up the tacs. guardians focus the scouts...

Re: 2.5.X Balance
The wse has everything going for him and a wargear for every situation ... :/ That's a pretty drastic exaggeration, for the same reasons I already went over. That's a buff as it hits more reliably and does more damage now (changed damage type). I thought that as well at first, but after playing aro...

Re: Banshee scaling, or lack of
Whether you like the comparison or not, the point is that complaining that a unit 'deletes' other units allowing little chance to play around it is not a valid concern given how common 'deleting' potential actually it in this game. I do think manti is op tho, but that's a different thread... And whi...

Re: Banshee scaling, or lack of
Banshees chasing your units across the map and deleting them might not have been toxic and unfun from your (Eldar only?) PoV but it was from mine and others. Problem was banshees didn't just punish bad positioning. They punished almost any positioning. Rangers one shotting models doesn't take any s...

Re: Warp Spiders call-in
Seems more like an issue of internal balance to me. Whenever a unit/option is under used in a faction, I think its worth asking questions. I don't see many WS players using the WS callin, and I suspect most of you don't either if you're being honest. The question should be why. If we decide the red ...

- Zoanthrope Focused Warp Blast no longer snares vehicles I understand that the old zoa may have been too versatile in the past, but this would make chasing transports much harder now. Alternatively, how do you now stop a charging melee walker? I guess the emphasis now is more on burst damage, a la...

Brothers and Sisters of light and song, Our prayers have been answered! Raveners/ T1/ Burrow = hard counter to set-ups and turrets. and all three commanders have options as well. Tyrant can charge through suppression, lictor can cloak/ leap, and ravener alpha can burrow at will. No such luck with eldar imo. Well your opinion is wrong. As already stated two Eldar comman...

I'm not saying eldar have no turret counters. I'm saying that all the options to deal with them u just gave are in t2 while turrents can be put up in t1. Nids are much worse off. Re: Eldar Design notes & questions
There are well known things that eldar struggle against, and it seems mostly due to a lack of options, in my view. Eldar struggle against turrets in hard-to-flank positions due to NO flame weapons (Warlock ability excepted). In order to deal with turrets, you can simply use warps spiders to telepor...

We all know what happens: You've forced off the SM tacs and they escape with 3 or 2 models on 30 hp between them.
My question, gentle readers, is simply this: why is it so hard to kill tactical models?

Re: Could large 3v3 maps be designed to promote capping and minimize blobbing?
The issue of map layout actually speaks to balance in some ways. Armies with low durability but high speed benefit, because the map allows them to use their strengths and punishes the slowness/ durability of others. Its the one scenario where being fast offsets being fragile. As has been said, most ...

When in doubt, nerf eldar.
The WL wasn't even a top tier hero before HoD got nerfed, yet it still got nerfed. Lots more nerfs coming for eldar before HoD comes back, I guarantee it.

I think they came as a mobile anti tank squad. Because all Eldar AV options were slow and stable. To help with their quick moving army, Fire Dragons were one of the best ideas modders ever had IMO. I like them. Yep, thats a point. And they should deal AV dmg, not Anti All dmg I am also in favor of ...
