I tried to install the mod again and it start the game with it but when I delete it again it doesn't start

So I installed Elite mod and played a little bit then I wanted to uninstall it so I just deleted the file elite folder in the game folder and reinstalled retribution and now I cant start it. It only opens the steam loading window and then immediately close it. So I want to ask if there is something ...
