Re: Veterans...

But i digress, it would also be another totally unnecessary addition to the game. Yes, i realise how a Bloodcrusher works Noobus, i'm merely lightly touching on how in 2v2s and 3v3s they can go down extremely quickly when you could have other units that do the same job with less fragility. Please d...

Re: Veterans...

As awesome as it sounds to have Tics exploding all over the place in pretty colours, it's very complicated, would probably be tricky to balance and isn't really all that necessary. Tics are now a cannon fodder and utility unit - their damage dealing days are pretty much behind them. Any serious dama...

+1 Oddnerd

If i have to exchange one problem for another, i'd rather things stayed the way they were. And the addition of a cease fire button would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Re: Blight Nades against orcs,ig and nids OP ?

The only combo that I feel is slightly OP is with the bile spewer ability (I'm not sure what it's called). I think it actually has more range than the blight grenade throw. You can shut down a blob with it and then move in to toss the grenade without your opponent being able to do much about it. I'...

Re: Blight Nades against orcs,ig and nids OP ?

Seems like a summary would be: 1. PC is painfully slow compared to other heroes and the wargear that gives him the highest hp boost slows him down even more . You should be focus firing him and taking him down before he can waddle his butt close enough to your army. 2. The nades range is tiny, so he...

Re: How satisfied are you with each race's nuke?

I agree, the damage isn't fantastic but it does snare units better than most nukes and can be very annoying in retreat paths. It can cover larger areas than most nukes without being locked in to a disk shape so it's easier to catch larger number of infantry, which is a good thing imo. Heavy hitting ...

It's a little soppy but I fucking love you guys. I couldn't even manage playing retail after having downloaded this mod - I never looked back. It sounds silly but out of all the changes, the thing I love most is the visual changes. All those coloured indicators, the new units, changing the chaos nuk...

Re: How satisfied are you with each race's nuke?

I really don't understand a lot of the hate that the SM OB gets - you can choose where to place multiple beams whereas most other nukes (excluding Rocket Run and OM OB of course), you are locked in to a disk shaped AOE. It also snares infantry in such a way that you can't even retreat to escape, at ...

Re: buffs and abilities

Ah well, it's a shame but i guess i'll just have to try and micro better. I'll play around with shrine + worship and see if it actually makes much difference to engagements anyway - it probably won't by much.

Re: buffs and abilities

I wish we had a cease fire button and therefore could be done with that part of infiltration. Sounds good to me, has this been discussed on the forums before...? Is it much of an issue for other units in other races? Would it be difficult to implement? I don't personally feel like it's a massive is...

Re: buffs and abilities

Good point. I think I'll stick to just regular worship as opposed to worshipping the Tzneetch shrine - the Doombolts can be potent but a 30% damage reduction - even if it is for the back lines - plus some slow DBs still seems more appealing. They're so cheap too, I should use them more often. Thanks...

Re: buffs and abilities

What about chaos shrines and worship? The Tzneetch shrine says it gives a 10% reduction to ranged damage but regular Tic worship infiltration gives a 20% reduction. Does this mean if i worship with Tics near a shrine i get a 30% damage reduction or a multiplication of the two? If it doesn't stack to...

Re: LF suggestions from beginners

I'd quite like to see something about playing well with your team mates. I see a lot of good players using single units to make up for gaps in their team mates composition while moving their own army around too. Also choosing how and when to push with team mates, keeping map control and using zoning...

Re: Tics need to give less xp

It's definitely a very early engagement problem - obviously Chaos have plenty of answers to melee but in T1 you can no longer counter melee without spending power. This is a real sticking point for me - CL has KTW and high HP so he's already decent in melee but the CS has too little health to make m...

Noise Marines disable ranged weaponry, something that pretty much no other unit in the whole game does - at least passively while the weapon is firing.

Are you saying this because you're having problems dealing with them or...?

Re: Tics need to give less xp

It also barely helps against commanders, high model units like Interceptors and power armour races. There's nothing wrong with not being so good against a certain type of unit but I felt Tics raw damage + DB mitigated this somewhat. Now it's more noticeable and the SoF flame damage doesn't help all ...

Re: Tics need to give less xp

One of the ways you can support your tics is to get the sword of flame as early you can - I really feel it's almost a necessity now that tics have their damage reduced and it's kind of a shame - I rarely get the staff anymore, even though that plasma cannon-like ability is really good, it's just not...

I'm not Chaos master but Bloodletters are an extremely awesome unit and possibly my favourite for Chaos. But they are very micro intensive and simply a bad purchase against some army compositions. Re: Fire Dragon -- Move to T3

I have an specific idea but I don't know can the modders make it ; give them their own damage type. It would definitely encourage more people to get DRs when they need to deal with HI or WG (since they still do that nice splash damage against infantry too) if FDs did less damage to regular infantry...

I'm not going to oversell my knowledge here but FDs are a real problem at the moment. I guess it's supposed to be their range but w...
