Startup issue

Hello,

I just had a question about getting elite mod to work at the request of a friend I wish to play with.

He claism to ahve installed the current version of the mod and then tries to start via the icon on his desktop. The game appears to be starting but after the small steam startup window shows up it goes away and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

verify the integrity of the game cache. if that doesn't find any issues try deleting the folder and reinstalling elite. another possibility is that the startup parameters got screwed up.
