lol Xerrol

having less hp but melee resistance will cause more bad situation for rangers vs ranged fire and vs jump troops. so he will be less succesful as sniper.

and u can use rangers in melee vs low melee dmg weak ranged T1 units.

Just a little note on this (because it's not on standard Rangers):
- Long rifle range is 55
- Pathfinder Gear increases weapon range by 10

Faultron wrote:do you know Xerrol, that having melee resistance is not so good thing on setup team, you loose your melee resistance aura on retreat.

I don't know where Asmon got that info from but that's just wrong.
You do not lose Melee resistance ever. Hilarious that it got on GR though XD
*Note though that the Plague sword ignores melee resistance.

For people who like some proof Codex & I labbed it and no way you get +116%.
Shees did about 40 damage per swing on retreating tacs which is supported by the math: 35dmg per swing +30%(HI) +30%(retreat) -40%(melee resistance) = 42

Which in turn makes me believe the change of patch 2.2B1 may have gone wrong.
I suspect it got changed to 0.95 instead of 0.85

  • Howling Banshees damage (power sword, power sword 2, executioner) to retreating units decreased from 0.9 to 0.85
With the added -5% you'd become the 40,25 I witnessed in game.

Unless something is wrong here cuz I'm confused on the matter: link
But it's definitely not 116% nor do you lose your melee resistance.

How does 40% dmg resistance to melee not help you? :/

I don't see where I didn't show respect towards you. I still have respect for you unless you are saying you don't respect me anymore because I disagree with you?

I'm not sure whether this is the best or worst thread to ever appear on these forums.

Try using another unit for that test since shees have a reduced damage multiplier to retreating units
