Way to stop tanks changing targets when reversing?

Postby Commissar Vocaloid » Sun 24 Nov, 2013 9:09 am

As the title states, is there a way to stop the changing of targets of your tanks in reverse? Or is this something hard-coded and inaccessible by the modders? I just find it ridiculous that when a tank is engaged by heavy melee, it decides to prioritize every other target in the background that isn't doing damage to it. It's especially frustrating losing a tank when the unit attacking it also happens to have less than 100 hp but decides to prioritize something less endangering.

It is more annoying when a tank chases you and your tank attacks other infantry squad who is near.

I think vehicles (and units in general) have target priorities depending on the weapon damage type they deal. Not sure if this tank behavior is intended though.

They indeed do have target priorities. Moving however somehow seems to mess with this and makes them shoot at whatever is closest to them.
