Once you ding T2 with ES and melee synapse then it really starts to shine. You have 2k hp squads of hormas. They also count as 8 pop so your pop is going to be in the 30s with a warrior squad, so maintenance is pretty low.
Pheromones more or less just make the triple or quadruple hormas (tentatively) viable in T1 until the T2 buffs kick in. Which assumes you can maintain map control and your squads in T1 - which is not a given, especially if your opponents know what shenanigans you're up to
Gonna have to call you out on that and say that wiping everything is far from the truth when it came to using blight grenades - I tried experimenting with a PC melee build because I was curious on how fast his DoT could wipe squads and it doesn't. Even with Blight Grenades, Fetid for Supression and 2 Tic Squads doomblasting in the centre, the AoE wasn't enough to prevent the respawn rate of horma's. The inclusion of a noise marine squad for AoE helped, but it felt marginal in comparison because of the reduced dmg effect. All it probably did was bleed you for req', but provided that you had enough, it wasn't enough to wipe a squad fast enough, not in T1.
