What happens if you beat your highest ranked opponent with more than 1 hero for example?

Highest rated at the time of the match, so it's unlikely two would be exactly the same... And like I said I could pick the average of highest 3 instead.

Assume your greatest wins with hero 1 were against 2150, 2100 and 1900 and with hero 2 you won against 2200, 2000 and 1800. Hero 1 would be picked as best one (2050 vs. 2000).

That Torpid Gamer wrote:Or that those opponents just happen to main races that are weak against you - Orks and CS are weak to CL, but both very prominent high level 1v1 heroes.

I just want a reasonable automated guess about the strongest hero, who cares about all that.

In other news I experimented with some accolade icons/badges on the list. They could be assigned according to a skill rating limit or ladder position or whatever really. Comments please (keep working on this or remove it?)

I thought it kept changing with the person's skill rating ~~ herdhur :p
I would go with best ~3-5~ people then. Sounds like a good plan.
If it seems to be rather inaccurate people can leave comments about it.

My personal preference would still be to also show the most "efficient" commander. Highest win-loss ratio with a minimum of ~10games played with the commander.

I find it weird how the wins&losses are represented. It feels like it shows if all the stats are available or something. Preferably changed to something else but keep the green and red colors. Makes it easy to see and have kind of a quick overview.
Other than that I absolutely love the new lay-out! It has all the stats I want ^^

Loving the new Icons too. A legend would be nice though so we know what they represent ^^ Show those on the forum too under the names like the rating?

Hey lulgrim, I think you entered some data wrong. On my last win vs Toilalee, you had my hero as the mekboy, but I was definitely the Knob in that game.

U r correct, instantly fixed fortunately. Yeah double-checking your own matches is probably a good idea (we sometimes punch in numbers in zombie mode).

I fiddled with the badges a bit and players can now have several (Riku has the most right now), they are displayed on the profile page.

Added Steam profile links to player profiles (guess we need them to reach players if we want to use this for finding opponents).

I have refined the list a bit and it now communicates with Steam (via the Web API service) to show the Steam names, avatars, and online status of all players. Say if you want to find a suitable opponent, for example.

The ladder list is also paginated now, although the buttons are still ugly.

The leader board shows 10 players per page now. I preferred how it was before.
Could you up the number to show 100 per page?

If you are a forum member you're in. Just need to start playing games against other players on the ladder, or at least other forum members. Then post the replays in the replays forum.

you have to declare it a ranked game at the beginning though and the other player has to confirm. that's just done with chat.

I finally had the time to enter MRT#7 results in the system and recalculate. Unfortunately there are still non-tournament ranked games waiting to be processed, and the detailed stats from tournament games are also WIP.

Non-tournament results are lagging a bit but I made some improvements to my original (poor) design of the system that makes inserting old games much easier, they will now be automatically ordered on the next ratings update.

This means that match IDs will no longer be chronological -- I will still keep the simple number IDs, though, as they make it easy to refer to specifc games, using a timestamp based ID like 1392969924 or 20140221100832 would be a relative pain in the ass to human users.

I also opened a recruitment thread in case I could get some ppl to make this faster.

Trying to upgrade the match details view a bit, here's how it looks now: http://www.dawnofwar.info/index.php?pag ... &match=474 (not mobile friendly I'm afraid).

You'll notice the new average APM stat thanks to hakon's ninja .rec tool that can list a player's actions. It also lists purchases so expect a timeline of unit/upgrade choices for each match when I figure out how to present it.

nice.
i have questions for hakon regarding the apm counter.

1. is APM a misleading name?
since you are getting APM from the replay file, the term may be misleading. for example, i cycle through my units a lot (type 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3... ) and none of these actions would show up in the replay file. neither will gauging the distance of an ability - que up grenade but don't click on the ground - and so forth. great work nonetheless!

2. is there a way i can get my hands on this APM counter program? seems pretty sweet.

It is misleading as can be seen by the results here:

Daemon Hunter
APM: 73.77
total: 1925
moves: 1484
attack target: 144
attack moves: 26
specials: 86
globals: 5

MistuhSoftee
APM: 112.97
total: 2948
moves: 1944
attack target: 148
attack moves: 522
specials: 65
globals: 6

From a certain game I played a while ago. I used 26 attack moves, whereas my foe used 522. That's a HUGE difference, yet our attack target values were very similar.

There's a thing called EAPM in SC which essentially negates inefficient actions such as constantly moving through unit selections, or selecting the hq but not building anything, or clicking to move somewhere over and over dozens of times within a few seconds. Not sure how easy that is to track though and then comes the question of what constitutes efficient or not.
Lets make Ordo Malleus great again!
