The generosity of uncle anaesthesia

Postby Major Richard Sharpe » Fri 31 Jan, 2014 10:56 pm

As you may all be aware by now. Uncle Anaesthesia has released the bulk of his models for public usage. However, due to my own incompetence with the finer intricacies of model editing, i would be most grateful were someone to release a simple SGA file that replaces the armour of the marines (for example, force commander, tactical marines, assault marines etc) with his Mk2 power armour and mk2 packpack. (this is just for me, and probably whoever wants to use it)

P.S i have no idea if requests such as these are allowed.

Over on his thread for the "warmaster" mod on relicnews.

He's been sporadically releasing some of the heresy era models he's made.

Seems like caid is back too, he's just released a working jetbike model for the harlequin mod

I have this and put his models into my own mod. I FREAKING LOVE IT. Best part is they all are original works so you can just put the in really. Maybe I can forsee something similar to Legion of the Damned?!?!

PS: The jump packs are freaking awesome. Especially the jump animation works PERFECTLY!

Yeah I'm thinking of throwing together a "Heresy Era" pack of model swaps for Marines and Chaos when I get some time off in a couple of weeks.

Would love to see this become a part of the main game like the LEgion of the damned and Alphas. JUst a generic 'legion' thing and let the players recolor as they wish. (Although that does mess with badges i suppose)

Sadly they cannot do that unless they make all the current Sm model be Legionaries by default. If they would have to make it (like I am) just like Legion of the Damned with set colors and Badges.

And Dark Riku has made A tutorial on how you can change the badges and colors of a DLC already. I am sure you can find it.

Edith: Might have missread your guys posts, nevermind

Recolouring DLC skins in ELITE is really easy. Far easier than in retail.

( alot of tutorials / guides outthere describe the far more complicated retail way of doing it )

Just go into

dawn of war ii - retribution / Elite beta / Data / config /

and open a file called

defaultchaptercolours

with any text programm ( word, wordpad, etc )

There you just locate the DLC skin you want to recolour and replace the name of the colours written under it.

Oh yeah, i know about recoloring. I just meant the badges themselves. From what i understand swapping badges in the dlc packs make them unable to be visible in multiplayer. Only colors can be seen by all.

If there was going to be a full legion add on youd have to either create 18 separate groups to appease all requests, or a generic one that can be recolored but no badges or specific insignias.
