Grey Knight Heroes

Having seen the new UI fix by donttouchmycrumpets, here if you've not had a look yet...

...it got me thinking if this is now possible then does it not warrant consideration of two new heroes for the Inquisition.

I'm not going to put balance ideas out there as that's not my area so will leave that to others more qualified but rather wanted to start a discussion on what could be used if it happens.

I guess models are my area, so here's a couple of ideas that at the very least have a model to go with them.

I'd really love to see a Daemon Hunter Inquisitor as second commander choice for Grey Knights. Did alot of day dreaming about it, in fact;

I think Indrid thought that guy looked a bit too space-marine-y though, in his proportions. Wonder if it would be possible to put Power Armour pieces onto a IG model to get a less bulky but still power armored result.

Regarding the first screenshot; I think Cealtos once hinted that he wanted to include that model as a Primaris Psyker Sub Commander for IG; not sure if he dropped that idea, or if its still going.

I crave a psyker for IG so badly. So much that could do.

Would love if GKs had something exterminatus inspired.


Opening with a light, scattered orbital barrage, like small Ork Rokks,
and ending with a giant Planet Cracker Torpedo coming down right at the center.
Huge damage right where it hits, not alot of AOE-damage but huge knockback, knocking everything on the screen on their asses.

At the 'Game Over Screen" it needs to say, "The Emperor has won'

But seriously speaking, in terms of programming etc is it possible to add in a new seperate nuke for GK? Cause that would be interesting to see... something like a single bomb being dropped into a specific area that does huge explosive dmg and ability knockback at the cost of small AoE and call it Cleansing Of Heresy or something

A huge bomb making the Drop pod falling noise when falls with a huge explosion which makes more damage in the center but less the further away is from the impact point point with a huge ability knockback AOE (larger than the explosion radius) as new GK nuke which replaces the current one?

I would rather pick the Brotherhood Champion over Sanctioned Psyker. The Daemon Hunter Inquisitor of Orkaeller is great. Maybe an other model with robe and hood would be more fitting.

As you may have noticed each hero has his/her/its own global abilities so yes.

As for GK we had a concept for it but nobody to create the ability, it would involve animating the Thunderhawk a little. So we're stuck with OB until somebody can pick it up.

It would be the most impressive nuke by far I must say.

Yeah sanctioned psyker didn't really make sense in gk since they are all uber psykers already :P

Yeah, it would be really badass if someone could pitch in and make it a reality. I actually gave it some thoughts the past few days - I had almost completely forgotten about it.

Actually even the land - hover cycle - takeoff animations exist in the game but somebody has to put the shit together, I can't do it myself for now.

What about a GK Chaplain?Make him like a hybrid Apo and CL (can recite prayers and maybe have a heal over time like painboy and have his prayer buff % higher for each GK unit/model around him)

The grey knights already have 2 sub commanders: Grey knight librarian and Vindicare assassin.

Adding more may be unnecessary.

Maybe switch the vindicator assassin and make him a hero. And this new character be the sub commander. This suggestion might not get alot of love, but this came up during one of Max Power's Twitch casts.

I really dont think there is enough to work with, in case of the Vindicare to make a fleshed out commander ( beside the fact that assassins shouldnt be commanders IMHO )

I don't like the sniper/assassins/ninja stuff that people love, but this is not a bad idea.
The Eversor, i believe, is far better suited to be the third commander than the Vindicate in term of gameplay and possibilities.
