This si something that has kept me annoyed for a long while.
When the Noise Marines affect someone with the weapon disabling effect of their Sonic Blaster, an icon (pink slaanesh icon to be precise) appears over the heads of EVERY MODEL in the affected unit, so soon you can see nothing but an ocean of pink simbols.
I wonder if it would be possible for the Sonic Blaster's effect to be indicated with only one Slaanesh icon over the unit's marker, just like suppression is indicated in the own unit's marker instead of marking all the models. This way we could still see the models and not a bunch of icons.

Re: Noise Marines: Sonic Blaster icon
Well, I think there are ups and downs to that.
The good thing is you would actually know what you are hitting and can still see it below the icon, so you can see if they try to do something.
A bad thing about it is you won't know which models are affected particulary. It may be me not noticing but does the disabled shooting happen to every model in the squad if only one is selected? I don't know, but if this isn't the case and models not hit can still fire, then the problem is that you won't know for example, that the Catachan with the Grenade Launcher can disrupt you.

The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

Catachan's grenadelauncher barrage is an ability, can't it be used even under Sonic Blaster's effect? (I'm not sure).

I don't think so, but I am not sure. You know what I mean though.

Yes, I get your point, but in the case you are right, do you control the position of every single model in your units during a game?. If I see Noise Marines shooting at my squad, I move my squad away or charge with them or whatever action suits better, but I don't stop to check if the plasma rifle is being affected.

Re: Noise Marines: Sonic Blaster icon
No, I don't check these things, but it is possible that the grenade launcher is not affected, meaning an opponent who pays attention could use it well.

It is fine. And with all due respect, there is no way this is getting changed.

No, because you wouldn't be able to tell if you are silencing every single model, hitting one model doesn't automatically stop all models from shooting, it just stops the squad from using abilities.

Re: Noise Marines: Sonic Blaster icon
yeah. it only affects the models hit. i suppose you could put the icon over the squad and put a pink ring around the models but i'm not sure that's better or worth the effort.

That is exactly what I was going on about. You would never know who is hit.

That would be much less annoying indeed, It would be a very nice change to be implemented, as you said, if possible and worth the effort.
