So a bud of mine told me about this last night. Was wondering if any 1 elce had heard of it.
Seems that gear box has purchused the rights to the homeworld franchise and is making a remastered/updated vertion of this masterpice of a game.
I can find littel info on this other than this web site. from what i can tell im happey as hell i mean iv tryed to get homeworld running on new systems to no avail , i have a old CPU set up in my basment just to play this 1 game.
If this happens and is sucsessfull will gear box make home world 3 ? and dose relic have anything to do with it at all anymore i wonder ? qurious if any 1 knowes info about this.

Re: Homeworld Remastered
I've heard of this a while ago, and while it's a shitty company like gearbox doing it, I don't think it's gonna be easy to fuck up, they are pretty much re-doing textures and perhaps models up-to-day, they are also doing some balanced changes, mostly, if they don't do anything wrong Im happy about the fact that the multiplayer for this game will be revived.

Re: Homeworld Remastered
I feel like gearbox gets a lot of hate for the Aliens: colonial marines fiasco. but Borderlands 1 and 2 were really really good. I'm looking forward to this, and I hope it's different from the Age of Empires remake where they basically changed nothing

Re: Homeworld Remastered
I just hope that Gearbox starts working on a new Brothers In Arms that will make 'Road to Hill 30', 'Earned in Blood' and 'Hell's Highway' proud.

Re: Homeworld Remastered
eh, it wasn't just colonial marines. i don't remember the names but they really shoved a lot of stuff to the side for borderlands. i don't really like borderlands, especially by myself, but i have both.
Re: Homeworld Remastered
Well lets hope they do good with it. I liked borderlands but since it's a loot grinding game it caters to a small crowd i feel.
Iv been going overload on old good games , I just found out about Goodoldgames web site ( i know late to the party as ususal )
I did find this , some of u may be interested in http://www.dxx-rebirth.com/.
It's a Amazingly well done vertion of decent 1 and 2 that works on new systems, and runs in modernday resolutions with nice shaders and textures and all that nice stuff. Also suports all joystics with way more custimization options. I Highley recomend this to any 1 who played decent back in the day . It's so well done it's like playing the game again for the first time. And if your wondering ... Yes the game is still hard as fuck to this day.

Re: Homeworld Remastered
Wat? BL2, is the best selling game in the history of 2K with 8.5 units sold as of February. That's not even close to niche.
Also descent is different game type from homeworld.don't see relevance
