RIP Robin Williams

Postby Surprise Attack! » Tue 12 Aug, 2014 3:09 am

Robin Williams took his own life today, and he was found around 3-4 hours ago. He was 63. Apparently, he had been battling severe depression.

I personally was a big fan of the majority of his work, including Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting. However, despite his success, it seems that he clearly did not have it all. In any case, he will definitely be missed dearly.

This, while not hugely funny or laugh out loud, was one of my favorite Robin Williams appearances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcZhY_Zo-yg

Seen so many movies, and Mrs Doubtfire is close to heart. My mother and father were big fans of him as well, I wonder how they'll take the news. :(

Mrs Doubtfire was a very funny film and it seems the way now that the old generation of comics are disappearing.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

Can we canonize him as the one true brightspot of the 90's please?

Of course, Jumanji. Ugh those Spiders. What else was he in? I can't remember.

Holy fuck you guys, did you realize he was into Warhammer 40K? Check out this Reddit AMA. He says he didn't play but owns several armies.

I have several Warhammer armies. But I have never actually played the game. Specifically, Warhammer 40K.

I remember watching tons of his movies growing up, but I can't seem to remember names besides the big obvious ones. I might have to do a little nostalgia trip and watch some. :(

He also played CoD and WoW online. Definitely a cool guy.

I think his part in Good Will Hunting is more memorable than his part in Jumanji. That park scene.

there was a similar petition to have him appear as an NPC in a zelda game. It's at something like 50k signatures as of the moment.
