Very true , but unlike the seer council , i don't have to wait through 3 tiers to get banshees , and while you can easily attach the tag (like banshees but better) to the seer council , if one already has leveled banshees in t3 , i am pretty sure they will be good enough to satisfy the majority of the roles the seer council brings to the field. to the point of not needing a seer council.

and on the topic of tacs , ive actually elected not to get terminators either if my tacs were satisfying my ranged role (something 2 tacs do easily).

but that is mostly because i find units that cant retreat to be a major liability. (also why i almost never bother with gk t3... for all the vaunting people throw gks way for having 2 terminators in t3 .... i HATE gk t3)

Hey, it's your own choice if you don't like late game elite infantry. It's nothing to do with balance.

hence why I didn't mention terminators until some one else did and I still said seer council was a solid unit .

How attractive would you have expected them to be? So attractive that the avatar would no longer fill a purpose or...?

Put them in a dress, get some makeup on, fab them up...

that is not an issue for me seeing as i never build relic units like avatar guo etc. I should probably give context to what I am actually comparing them too.

So when i look at t3 infantry units i try to compare them to units that fill their role with in the same race , and t3 infantry units of other races regardless of roles.

So right now I feel in comparison to banshees: while the seer council is no doubt an improvement over banshees they arent such a huge improvement for me to merit getting two units that have such over lapping roles especially if said banshees are level 3 plus ( which is very likely). Now if i have no banshees for some reason , then yeah seer council all the way.

As for the second part , i wont deny the seer council's ability to deal with heavy infantry in melee as it is excellent however their relative fragility for a t3 melee unit and their restrictive damage type puts them behind other t3 melee infantry in terms of utility.

Again if the situation doesnt call for said utility then the seer council is a solid unit. I guess I am more used to having t3 infantry having access to nearly all damage types.

Don't get me wrong people , this is most certainly me just nitpicking and I dont actively wish for buffs or nerfs to the seer council.

And of all the things i find lacking in eldar , they are not even in the top 10. the first 5 - 6 slots are squarely reserved by dark reapers and fire dragons.
