Beginner's Tourney #5 (redux) registration

This tourney will be a 16 player, 1v1 event that will take place on December 20th at 10 AM PST (and possibly the 21st if it drags on). It will follow the MRT rules. Read them here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=135.

All matches will be best two out of three, with the exception of the final, which will be best three out of five.

If yer clocked in at 500 hours or less, feel free to register. Link your steam profile (must be made public), and your choice of three commanders.

Prizes will be Awesomenauts, Bully Scholarship edition, Mark of the Ninja, and Portal 2. First place winner will get his/her choice of two games, with runner up getting one of the two left, and third place getting what's left.

Deadline for registration will be the 17th.

i have 551 hours clocked in total acording to steam, am i still eligible to register? or is that extra 50 hours going to mean i cant register? most of it is likely campaign/last stand then again that can be said of pretty much everyone.

174 hours clocked into Retribution, 48 for vanilla and 97 for Chaos Rising if that's worth adding. I'd say a good half of vanilla and CR have been campaign play-throughs and Last Stand matches.

Suppose I know *some* tips and tricks from watching Indrid's casts here and there for about a year.

You are both eligible. I suggested 600 hours would be a better guideline, but then it is just a guideline, sign up if you think you are the right level. Maybe you play a lot of 3v3 and are decent there but rarely stray into 1v1.

Also please leave your commander choices in your application. Three commanders from any faction, or the same one if you are like that. You do not have to use all of your commanders when you play, but they are the three you are limited to.

hah thats me in a nutshell, im really good in teamgames but i think ive played errr... 6 1v1 games in my entire career? i think ive only won maybe 2 of them, one of them vs my friend that only had 42 hours at the time, i also recommended he sign up here aswell so might see him registering.

Got around 365 hours clocked into Retribution currently, Almost all of that is clocked into Versus in 3v3s, 2v2s, I haven't done that many 1v1s mainly because they were boring back capping most of the time. I've only played around 7 hours of Elite.

Never too late to get into it suppose, sign me up!

just a couple of questions.

#1: if we register, are we guaranteed a place? if not will we get a message or something if we got a spot?

#2: how will the players be put together? what i mean is, are you going to put people together that have less than 100 hours? otherwise we might have these really weird matches where its someone with 500 hours vs someone with 20 hours, for example.

The first 16 players who register will be in the tourney. Anyone who registers after that will be put on the stand-by list. And just like most tournaments, player brackets will be randomized.
