so i was browsing through peoples stats of people that were in the general chat room on the main menu for totally not stalking reasons

there was this one guy boasting about how hes won 4 "Montly Offical relic DOW2 Tournaments" (HAHAHAHA)

...these are his stats



did someone say cheater? i laughed when i saw this, noone has a win/loss ratio that high without cheating, and im pretty sure that tournament doesn't exist, and hes a retail player. so yea.....

(blocked off his/her name for privacy reasons, just posted this because im bored and might be worth a good laugh)

52 wins and only 22 champion awards. Not suspicious at all. 52 kills a game is quite impressive too, especially for a retail ork since most games end within 10mins once the wartrukk-gangbang-slugga-base-rape thing happens.

That said, I do have 40-odd wins to 1 loss with IG on retail post-leaderboard reset legit and I would argue that IG on retail are pretty crap compared to what they have become in elite. So it certainly is possibly considering he proclaims to main orks. Orks are beyond broken in retail and only have a chance of losing to chaos/nids. Or Farzo's warlock.

P.S that loss was totally due to a lag-spike from the shitty battle servers making me lose 3 squads in one engagement unnecessarily though. Still hate these battle-servers and that entire patch of uselessness.

infact you only now reminded me of the cheese that is retail ork. so i guess those stats could be legit but... "Montly Offical relic DOW2 Tournaments" i think is what really made me tilt my head, especially when he said something about joining an Annihilate game.

I'm not sure what you're asking but this win-streak was after the leaderboard reset which apparently made elo irrelevant and also removed peer to peer connection (which is horrible for competitive play considering how bad the battle-servers are), so after the patch.

yea sorry i misread your post, i thought you said pre-patch rather than post-patch. you still play retail sometimes then? because the leaderboard reset was only a few months ago.

Yes. These days about 50% of the time that I play in fact. A lot of DOW-friends from years ago still play retail and so I play with them. Also, when I do 1v1s on elite I always play vs the same people. Mostly Tex and occasionally Toil with pega thrown in for my Birthday. That gets boring REAL quick so I do ranked 1v1 on retail sometimes. I was #1 on the leaderboards with IG 2 weeks after the reset. Maintained that for about 4days but then couldn't play enough and so lost it.

Why am I telling you this? I have no idea.
