I love, I mean I really love, that headpiece on the Tzeentch dreadnought. It is nothing short of fantastic. If I could shake the hand of person who did that, I would.

It got me thinking, what is your favorite piece of art in the mod? It can be a unit model, or a portrait, or whatever else.

Also, is there any single aesthetic choice that you would like to see above all others? Mine is pretty small, I'd like to see yellow helmets on the Blood Angel assault marines.

Anyone?

by Tzzetch dread helmet im assuming you mean the thousand suns elite scheme dreadnought. yea its nice. infact all of the modeling and texture work done by people like sterling and orkfealler (not sure who else) is pretty good.

as far as my favorite model, that would be pretty much all the non-relic stuff, so all of sterlings stuff and whatnot, favorite portrait? all of kilgarns stuff (and hans's stuff aswell, i guess i can make room for him) pretty much all the stuff added by the mod. i mean; what else?

i would personally like to see a Elite Scheme for chaos that is basically a SM chapter that has only just started worshiping the dark gods, so for example CSM still look somewhat like Tactical marines, raptors look a lot like ASM etc etc. you get what i mean. it could be coloured after the black legion, i think it might be nice to see something like that as it could be recolored to make it look like a SM chapter of your choice has rebelled or something. i would like that very much, i use a custom colour scheme for my SM, and would love something like that for my CSM so it looks like some of them rebelled.

As far as models go, the Thousand Sons Sorceror is really nice, can't think what is my favourite though.

Would just love to see less Marine wank on every 40k mod. Even here, LSM and CSM already almost have more custom schemes than default schemes. Orks have 2(?). Eldar have retail DLC only.

Obviously I concede new models for new units and such, but that has been the case with every race.

There's a wartrukk I discovered the other day and by the Emperor is it profoundly gorgeous. I don't even know what army I was playing but it was blue and the wheels had horizontal cone-shaped spikes coming out of them and there was an epic bumper on the front of the wartrukk that looked like it was made of squiggoth tusks. I spent a good minute in that game after I bought it just pinging the wartrukk and being amazed as the little piece of badassery that it was.

yea i saw that on max's stream the other day mister Preatorian Guard, was a shame u need to get gud as you lost the west side :lol:

I like Night lords CSM, lighting on them makes them look good by the way will we be seeing more pre heresy SM skins? I liked how pre heresy world eaters looked like

Yes they are the only pre-heresy skin. But I think he just wants to see a pre-heresy World Eaters pack. The same way I like the Bling Marines (Emperor's Children pre-heresy)

yea would love to see something like that aswell, would also love a kinda post-heresy scheme for CSM like i said earlier.

would love to see CSM wearing basically slightly twisted and bloodied astartes gear for example/

Emperor's Childrens pre-heresy are simply amazing.

Imagine a skin with Kakophoni as Noise Marines, the Palatine Blades (or Versace Marines, as I like to call them) as MoK CSM, the Phoenix Terminators, the CSM with their mkiii helmets...

I collect them in TableTop. So cool.

I still would like to see at least one scheme for eldars. Exodites or Corsairs for example. I'd have suggested a Dark Eldar skin for them, but seems like a whole dark eldar race is being developed already.

Night lords look sick, liking the new nid drogan skins as well but i think all the cahos skins redone are simply the best eye candy of the game for me atm:p

The Exodites are being worked upon by Shuma and the closest to Corsairs so far are Sami-Hann, though we may see Corsairs yet.

Closest to Corsairs would probably be Lugganath. Piratical Craftworld. Reskin Witchblades to look more Cutlass-y. Maybe a billowing cape here and there.
I know I'm letting the pirate theme run away with me there, but a man can dream.

Also, Altansar skin. Slightly twisted and warped Eldar - nothing too drastic, subtle but noticable. Like a pseudo-Dark Kin, but whilst remaining Craftworlders.

While I would like to see more pre-Heresy Marines, I do agree that we have a lot of SM and CSM Elite skins, and SM already had the lion's share of the DLC skins from Relic with Dark Angels, Ultramarines and Imperial Fists to the one each for CSM, Eldar and Orks. Though I would like more skins which modify the Terminators, feel like the only ones really are Death Guard and World Eaters, and the modification on the World Eaters is basically just extra tusks, so I'd be in favor of the Emperor's Children. Any chance of pre-Heresy Salamanders or just even implementing Firedrake Terminators into the Salamanders Elite skin?

In terms of suggestions for stuff, Tanith for Guard would be cool (I demand the Lord Commissar be reskinned to look like Gaunt if it happens

), and one of the more out-there Craftworlds for Eldar, Altansar would be an interesting one. There's only so much you can do with 'nids sadly unless we go for a wacky thing like an an amphibian Hive Fleet or something, but would be cool to see a few more Ork skins, possibly one which has been looting from someone other than Guard to reskin the Looted Tank as a Predator or something.

In terms of my favourite aesthetic pieces, I'm pretty fond of the World Eaters Chaos Dreadnought and the Luna Wolves in general. Back when I collected regularly, I was thinking about building a Luna Wolves army for a bit because I really liked Loken from the HH novels.

You must realise that the Looted Tank is a Predator and not a Leman Russ, so it might be nice to see a scheme with it the other way around

Oops, my mistake. The cannon made me think it was a looted Russ and I'm too used to seeing it from birds' eye view. Looking at better pictures, you're right, it's a looted Predator.

I would like to see Cultists that actually look like Cultists.
The DLC and Elite Skins do a good job for the most part, but the retail cultist is just... bad.

I would like to see a more buff up Catachan Devil.
Have you seen the artworks or even the miniatures? They are far, far, far more bulky and ripped than the DoW2 model.

And in the end, I would like to see Tempestus Scions replace the Storm Troopers. I hate that model.

My favorite looking unit in the mod has got to be the World Eater Dreadnought dedicated to khorne. That brass demon head is just awesome.
I have lost more than one match for picking a dreadnought due to its badassry looks rather than practical considerations xD

From Retail, the best model in my opinion was the Farseer Ulthwe DLC skin. Such a high level of detail!

I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the heretics either.

I actually find their models rather paradoxical. In game, they are big as a space marine, they look like roid monsters, but they fall to pieces as soon as someone sneezes in their general direction! I'd be for shrinking the heretics to better reflect their actual ingame power

On the other hand, they looked 2x times cooler with the hoods with the Tzeentch scheme!
