Cannot find or join some games

Hello all!

I have encountered a problem with finding and joining games. When me and my friend tries to join each others games we get the error message Unknown join event. We also see different public games when we browse for public games. I can see some games while he finds others, but not those that I can find.

We both have Retail 3.19.1.10226 and elite mod 2.3.1.
When asking people at the General chat to try to find our games, some can find my game and some can find my friends's game.

We have played together since the start of elite mod and this never happened before. Any ideas what is up?

Do you have the latest hotfix installed?

Anyway for me just restarting steam usually fixes joining issues.

Joining games through an invite will only work once thanks to Relic's latest "patch".
If you want your invites to work you have to restart your game after every round you play.

You guys are probably in different versions of the game. Check very thoroughly that you are in the exact same version.

I see now that I have got the old version of 2.3.1.

When we saw that we had the same version according to the startscreen we never realized we could still have different versions

I thought I had checked thourougly, but it seems like that hotfix arrived between me and my friend getting 2.3.1. At the very same day. Since I found more games with my outdated version, than he did with his new, we thought he was the one having problems. Oops!

yea perhaps the hotfix number should be displayed on the main menu aswell, that would be nice.
