Where can I get the stats behind the original DoW 2?

Postby sawbladex » Fri 19 Dec, 2014 9:42 am

I think that this is the best place on the internet for me to ask... but, does anyone have an easy to access breakdown of the squadmate stats behind the original DoW 2 single campaign work?

Because I'd like to know how important it is that I run away squads that are missing members, instead of sticking around and fighting.

Also, how does Cyrus's scouts go from boltguns to shotguns 2 in DoW Chaos Rising?

Thanks for the multiplayer unit stats Eclipse.

I had managed to find those on my own, which is why I am asking about the single player campaign stats. For that, the dow.wikia isn't particularly useful.

You'd have to download Cope's Toolbox, and then when you get used to the interface and stuff, the Campaign files are under all of the xp2 subfolders (e.g. ability\xp2\...). When you go into those, you can find the wargears they have and upgrades they can purchase, and through those, what the weapon values and such are. If you need anything clarified, just ask and I'll try to.

My apologies, I responded too hastily.

Thanks Wise.

Um.. which file should I be looking for to start looking in? When I open Cope's toolbox, I have no idea where to go next.

Go to Start>Open Mod and then go to your DoW2 steam installation folder. You'll be looking for a .module file. Not actually sure what the Chaos Rising one would be named. I'd guess just DoW2.module.

I found that file. But Cope's toolbox says something is wrong with it, and refuses to open it.

I am using the cope's toolbox on the OP post of http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread. ... 07-30-2014, in case that matters.

Update: I was able to open a wargear unlocker (mostly for all the wargear stats) I used before the Sega Update, but then I can't actually look at any of the .lua files, because I apparently need a plug-in.

What does the error say?

And what version of .Net framework do you have? The application on the page you linked uses 4.5

You can open .lua files using notepad if you extract them using SGA Reader 2

If you're using an antivirus, make sure it's not deleting the DLLs from Copes. I had that problem with Norton when I first downloaded Copes.
