uh, could you throw in multiple models (like Chaos Space Marines & IG and etc) to appear in the background in that case?

Yes and no... the backdrop will show a single unit that you can define in a blueprint file, it can be a squad (models are placed at numbered markers on the backdrop terrain model) -- but all the models must be identical or it won't work (you'll remember the two GK we had there at some point).
You could make a diorama thingy where you'd place all sort of models in the actual environment model, but then they'd need to be custom animated in that model directly. On the other hand, even a static display might be cool (you could still attach fx to give it some life).

Just wanted to let you know that I made some changes to the redux version of Kasyr Lutien based on the feedback I received after some play sessions.
The changes are:
- the ruined area has been reworked/flattened => improved pathing
- added some more objects
- added some LOS/shot-blocker on the map
- rearranged the req point layout
- moved the bases further away from each other.

are areas that are not accessible - tried to remove them, also reduced the amount of

Yeah! Someone did this! Was going to have a go at a Kasyr redux myself, but the Armageddon crossing map is so very very sweet after months of work.

Hoho, didnt post anything in a long time. To make up for that lack of new content I'll show you some teaser pics of my latest map called "Tharsis Forge".
It's a 2on2 map and I try to capture the looks of "Jarilos Forge" with a point layout which is inspired by "Median Cliff Mines", albeit the whole map will be more open than the former.
Up to this point I've only worked on the nonplayable area to establish the aesthetics of the map.



And just to show you what still needs to be done - tomorrow I'll finish the walls and starting next week I'll do the detail work around those walls.

Finally got time to work on my latest 2on2 map.
Okay here are some previews:
ok that's where I had to stop working due to actual work stuff and the worldbuilder not working

And this how the map looks now, most of the gras textured areas are still missing the actual gras though.

Looks really nice. But I remember London Duncan warned of placing too much water in a map, since it would drastically reduce the performance and FPS due to processing. Have you checked that out?

Well, nope, I did not playtest it at all, that ill do once im done working on the map. And since I dont care that much about limitations because a. my pc is too stronk, b. I wan't a good lookin map & c. because reasons, I'll put as much splats, objects and water in the map as I deem appropriate.
I guess the map shouldnt take that long to de-load after the game compared to Ulthane temple. ^^

I meant using it in big blocks (big brush sizes) since I think it looks bad, which he hasn't done. The other potential concern is performance, but Max does not care for the peasants with slow computers.
