Imperial Guard Kill Finishes?

Imperial Guard Kill Finishes?

I've always been curious about this...but do the Imperial Guard basic troopers (or any of the others come to think of it) have any of those sweet kill finishes? I have never seen it in all of my "extensive" IG gameplay so just wondering if they actually exist in the game files.

Not to my knowledge. I'm pretty sure the gloryhounds in the Imperial Guard are the first to go :P

Only melee dedicated units have sync kills. And Terminators for some reason.

Aw, well I guess I should stop forcing my IG into melee combat then :P my faith in them is no longer bottomless. Thanks for the responses.

Well the commissar leaders on the guardsmen squad do get sync-kills. They also do the same damage in melee as tactical marine sergeants, so yeah, once you get them they make forcing melee on retreat pretty legit.

Well they ARE armed with power fists. But more specifically, FC Term exists so they get some of his animation glory.

Rangers also have synckills.

they're armed with swords fyi.

basically anything with a melee weapon has sync kills, things with only ranged weapons do not have sync kills.

Indeed and this distinction is so effective that it even solves the problem of dedicated melee units which lack sync kills - ogryns don't have melee weapons hence why they lack melee syncs.

that being said there are some anomalys like ogryns yea, heretics, hormagaunts, sluggas, all of them dont have sync kills.

They used to back in the day but they got removed, well, sluggas and hormagaunts did, don't know about heretics, same applies to banshees who only the exarch has syncs now, before the normal models used to.

Ogyrns never had sync kills but thy never had melee weapons - like guardsmen or tactical marines they just club stuff with their guns during melee.
