Y would you give a dreadnought a new name then, if it is still a dreadnought? Chaos dreadnoughts were always heavily influenced by the warp and we didn't call em hellbrutes back then.

GW just wanted to differentiate them more from SM stuff in TT I imagine. So the Hellbrute replaced the Chaos Dread in the codex, but Chaos Dreads still exist in the lore so as to not muck up old novels etc.

I dunno why Ven compares them to Centurions in any way - they are just "more grimdark" Chaos Dreads so that GW could give them a bunch of daemon-y rules in the TT.

i dont know about you but this thing (helbrute) looks like a centurion and a dreadnought had a baby to me

Max, What you are saying makes no sense. Why would you call sternguard sternguard if they are still Space Marines?
Because it's divided further! All hellbrutes are dreadnought not all dreadnoughts are hellbrutes.

I've got the models and the Helbrute is actually slightly larger than a Dreadnought. It still does the same things though.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

Just thought of another one. Catachan Devils ==> Catachan Jungle Fighters. Bit more generic since the Devils are a specific regiment.

Actually the point is they are real Catachan Devils, not any old Catachans. They are hardened veterans, plus it would make the Elite scheme seem redundant.

What do you guys think of changing the "Grey Knight's Dreadnought" name into "Doomglaive Dreadnaught"?
