One of the two things need to be done, otherwise every IG player will get a Leman Russ or Baneblade and forget that Karskins even exist.
Let the Galaxy Burn. It's still broken against IG. I had a game where my Guardsmen got hit along with two squads of Gaunts. My units got almost wiped out and the Guants took like 50% damage. Even with the Lord General Flak Jacket, the damage is still insane. Let The Galaxy Burn can literally drop Karskin HP down by 50% if getting a good hit. Either nerf that or make Karskin more ELITE, as in, WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. Bring them down to 3 models with more HP and heavy armor (they are the ONLY units in tier 3 without heavy armor or strong damage resistance) and then the Sergeant upgrade. At its current state, the Karskin will get immediately forced off the field, much quicker than Flash Gitz, Nobz and other tier 3 units. They don't need a true buff, just make them more viable.

Re: One of the two.
I will agree that its silly how tanky gaunts can be when compared with GM, but karkins are already really good. As long as you keep them back a tiny bit, theyre going to typically cause alot of bleed for your opponent. They're a fantastic unit for that reason alone.
Also, kommandos and seer council both have infantry armor, so karkins are not the only units that don't have heavier armor types in t3, and if used properly, they really shouldn't need it.

Another thread about Kasrkins?
I think we should keep it in one place.
As for LTGB, it's already nerfed in Elite compared to retail, just hop in a chimera, or move ^^ You'll do just fine.

Re: One of the two.
Kasrkin tend to have the range advantage over the Skill Lord, meaning the warm cuddly embrace of his LGBT balls shouldn't be much of an issue, and since Kasrkin all ranked up and spammed do crazy damage that focus fire is often enough to keep most Chaos Lords on their arse, you should be fine, but if he gets a problem, look for that energy bar going down and split, since Kasrkin with sergeant have plenty of health the only problem should really be trying to dodge each fireball.

The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.
Re: One of the two.
Get commissars for your guardsmen and retreat as soon as you seen chaos lord starting to use ltgb, and then just execute a few seconds later.

Also do not forget that Nids greatly benefit from synapse creatures such as Warrior Brood and Zoanthropes.

Re: One of the two.
Karskins are useless in my opinion for exactly why the OP stated. I honestly think they are just shiny Storm Trooper variants without the assault kit upgrade. I don't care much about their price though they do need to have their upkeep cost increased, which is happening next patch I believe?
But what they do need is to be improved in some ways in my honest opinion. The sergeant upgrade is still useless, and they get easily out ranged, and outgunned by a Lord General with a sniper rifle, plus two Storm Trooper assault kit variants.
But my solution would be different then the OP is suggesting, I would say base the Karskins after the Dawn of War 1 model. Give them speed, decent fire rate, long range, and a working Sergeant with power melee plus increases the health, and weapon proficiency of the squad (maybe even give him a hellgun pistol). What I don't suggest is making them tanky, or in any way easily replaceable (they can be easy enough to spam as is!). To the OP complaining about "Let the Galaxy Burn", its actually easy to counter, and or kite the Chaos Lord so I don't know how hes hitting you with it.
I should know I play Lord General all the time, and my opinion is that hes not as bad as he was in Retail, and hes actually quite easy to fight, and win even if he has that annoying ability!

Don't joke with me. Play IG. His Fire Balls shoot from miles away. I can only kill him WITH MY ENTIRE ARMY before he shoots like 25% the times.

In T2 if you find you can't get out of the way with your gm, just retreat them and execute out. You did buy the Commissars right? If not, get in the habit of doing it they're cheaper than plasma guns and do just as much if not more for you.
