Commissar execution animation
There is a cool animation of commissar lord executing his own troops but there is no animation for regular commissar stop retreating execution. I dont think it is hard to make such because there is already exist one for LC. So, why not to add that animation? If you think it will take too much time - just make the squad stop immediately while animation of execution is still in progress.

im fairly certain its because of balance. a LC exection is an ability so it makes sense for there to be a small delay and for the commie to have to turn aorund and do it. the retreat break is more of a finger twitch reaction ability, and what i mean by that is that you dont want your commisar squad leader stopping in retreat and you dont want the ability to be delayed.
if the animation was implemented, the whole squad would be running, you would use the ability and suddenly the commisar would stop moving to do the animation but the rest of the squad would keep going, not only would this cause buggy retreat and pathing issues, but it might also lead to a squad wipe due to that whole nid melee blob chasing you and then nomming the commie leader.

But why would you execute when the nid melee blob is just right behind you?

Rather than the specific execution animation from the LC, why not just have him use his ranged auto attack animation on the nearest guardsman and be done with it? He can fire while moving so there won't be any weird squad breaks nor potential squad wipe since the commie squad leader won't be isolated.

So... I hear you refuse to repent.
