I hate that schoolgirl cutsie shit that seems to be 85% of anime bawww.

Gimme that action/scifi/serious stuff. Ghost in the Shell series, Black Lagoon, Evangelion, Gungrave, Trigun, Ergo Proxy, Ninja Scroll, Desert Punk, Texhnolyze, Appleseed, Akira, Bubblegum Crisis, Yukikaze, Gundam Seed, Samurai Champloo, Trinity Blood, Code Geass.

How could I have forgotten this? It was awesome, I think my first anime because CheezTV showed it before school.

That's because it was a Genjutsu! It already happens but you have not seen it!

By the way, Japanese don't have a fucking idea to make a "real" anime with "real" gunfires without making the protagonist(s) act with god mode always on. Gunslinger Girl, Black Lagoon, Noir. They are not bad animes, but some situations for being a "realistic" anime are simply lulzy.
"Pater, peccavi in caelum et coram te; iam non sum dignus vocari filius tuus". Dixit autem pater: "manducemus et epulemur, quia hic filius meus mortuus erat et revixit, perierat et inventus est"

There will be no forgiveness for us.

True that. Not that muricans have much of a clue either, even when they strive to make "realistic" gunfight scenes.

Darker than Black Season 1 was pretty good, Season 2 got weird :/. Still, watching Hei go full deadbeat drunk in S2 was pretty funny.

hahah Not sure if Cheeze TV was broadcast across the country but it was on Channel 10 here in Melbourne. It was also called Tecknoman to which they cut out all the gay references and Levin from being gay altogether. Plus some of the sadder elements which is a real understatement given the theme of the show when he starts

*SPOILER ALERT* (I hate it when people kick up a fuss about it)

forgetting who his family is. They may have even cut out the murdering your family members parts as well and replaced it with more kid friendly themes. It got pretty westernised IIRC. When I came across this about 4-5 years ago I knew I had definitely scene it from somewhere and I'm glad that you said CheezeTV because that makes perfect sense to me now as to why I knew I had seen it before.

Since everyone forgets, my timezone is AEST (UTC/GMT) +10 hours. AEDT is (UTC/GMT) +11 hours. Hopefully no-one tells me what time any tournament is on.

I love anime :D

Here is a recommendation that many anime watchers might not have seen: Yakitate Japan.

If you want to get into anime I recommend Attack on Titan, the Animation and Music alone make it a Masterpiece. Setting was pretty unique (and now copied alot :D) and the charackters are something different from the norm I feel.

Other recent shows that I can recommened, if you want something deeper: Parayste (24 episodes. (If you have a problem with Gore, don't watch it, BUT: I for example don't like Gore for Gores sake. But I like it here. Why? Because it feels "natural". It doesn't seem like its there for Gore lovers. Its not like the Story was made so that they could show gore, but the story naturally requires gore, and you couldn't take it seriously if they just cut away everytime. Same for Attack on Titan)

-If you like the fantasy settings, the classicer Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (around 70? episodes). A bit longer, but still compact.

-Avatar the last Airbender, even though its not reaaaally anime. Good point too start if you were not exposed to Japanese culture :D

Atlas wrote:Darker than Black Season 1 was pretty good, Season 2 got weird :/. Still, watching Hei go full deadbeat drunk in S2 was pretty funny.

-I can totally support Darker than Black season 1. Didn't continue with more than 1 or 2 episodes from Season 2. :/ got weird :D

-No Game no life is nice for Gamers! (but a bit strange at times :D crazy artstyle and a bit too much fanservice :&)

-Breakblade if you want to get into Mecha animes.

-Detective conan is always good! ^^

-Maria the Virgin Witch (misleading title) got many good reviews, didn't watch it yet, but they say it really accuratly represents medieval warfare.

Oh man, Sword Art online started so good, but then I got to episode 15+... never continued.
