After checking the Bethesda conference, Dishonored 2 looks interesting, Doom 4 wasn't as impressive imho, Fallout 4 seemed good.

I think Doom 4 was pretty solid, the multiplayer seemed to maintain the fast-paced action. As far as singleplayer goes, that whole thing was heavily pre-rendered by the look of things, and somewhat scripted. But alas, it's to showcase the stuff I suppose. They were never very specific regarding story, which isn't exactly Dooms strongest aspect, so they kept it a bare minimum. I think it's about understanding what made the original game good, and rejuvinating that with new tech. All-in all, nice across the board.

Battlecry - There's too many tough contenders, such as Overwatch & Team Fortress 2. It might be fun, but I don't expect great things from it. It didn't get me very super excited, it felt really tacked on the show. But at least it felt like they knew about it as well, and kept most of the battlecry related stuff to a low. The presentation was good, the game itself isn't just selling it for me.

ESO - I've actually heard positive stuff from the game as of late, and I actually didn't hate the game. Infact, I had alot of fun with it. My friends however had other ideas, despite we played quite alot of the beta together, and we thought alot of the concept & ideas were great. I tried to immersive myself as much as I could, but each to their own in how you want to immerse yourself I guess. Either way, I might actually just return to this game one day.

Fallout 4 & stuff - Brain overload.

Fallout 4 looked pretty cool. Also hoping the playable Star Wars Battlefront is actually good.

But I mostly just want more XCOM 2 stuff :?

Okay just watched some trailers and I did write all my impressions down the moment I saw them in the trailer.

Fallout

Dunno the faces in fallout 4 looked lifeless and dont get me started about their facial animation. Well heck I think it looks worse then the Witcher 3 in every aspect. But still hoping that itll be a good game nonetheless. Apart from the fucking inventory, that looks bad, like totally bad, bascially like every Bethesda inventory. Bad Inventory system, bad inventory system never changes.

And base building...ofc...if Fallout needed anything its base building.

Doom 4

Looked okay, apart from the blue or orange glowing once you are able to perform a melee takedown. Talking about them takedowns, dunno they feel dumb and out of place and that is saying alot considering it is Doom we are talking about. Sometimes the blood is gushing like mad and sometimes its like not there at all, be consistent (take a look at Shadow Warrior 2, now that was an impressive trailer). And apparently no blood decals that cling to the ground or the walls? Le fuck? Imho it doesnt look fluid enough or it lacks a certain flow. The new doom marines armor (judging by the looks of the mp marine armpr) doesnt look remotely close to the original design. Weapon models feel a wee bit too big. The last enemy (cyber demon maybe?) you saw in the trailer looked kinda comical (maybe not even comical but it looked more like Joe Madureira [the guy that designed Darksiders] creation) and not threatening.

Dishonored 2

CGI trailer, no gameplay, nothing else to say about it, apart from the fact that I liked the first game and hope that the sequel will deliver.

Shadow Warrior 2

CGI trailer, no gameplay, nothing else to say about it, apart from the fact that I liked the first game and hope that the sequel will deliver. And that trailer had the right amount of cheese in it to get me excited.

Watching the Microsoft press conference right now

Halo 5

Mediocre graphics (and art design - halo always looked like a fisher price fps), game looks heavily scripted and dull...okay never was a halo fan and this wont change it. Also two playable characters? Master Chief being traitor, prolly doing a totally secret covert op and thats how they try to cover it up or some stuff. Anyways looks like your typical AAA console fps. And Coop, ofc, cause coop is the new shit.

New game mode called Warzone = maybe something a kin to battlefield?

Recore

New game by Keiji Inafune. CGI trailer, post apocalypse? Machines driven by glowing balls are your enemies? Blue balls good, red balls bad XD.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

Another CGI - trailer - so not much to say about the actual game

Forza Motorsport

More of the same, I guess if you are into rcacing games this might be for you.

Dark Souls 3

HYPE! Okay, its only a render trailer as well...but DARK SOULS 3, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MOINEY! - still waiting for a possible PC version, but HYPE HYPE HYPE

Tom Clancy's The Division

Looks good, doesnt look as good as the first reveal videos though - Ubisoft be Ubisoft and downgrade?

Gigantic

Yet another Moba? This time with animals as heroes but i feel the moba genre is crowded as is.

Some indie games

Cuphead a jump and run with awesome 30s cartoon aesthetics

Tomb Raider

Uncharted with tits, if you enjoyed either Uncharted or the 2013 Tomb Raider you wil prolly like this, I certainly am excited. Good graphics, as was to be expected I guess. QTE events, ott action, Lara surviving an avalanche even though she was caught in mid jump so yeah all quiet on the western front.

Fable Lagends

Meh, f2p game, looking kinda mediocre

New Gears of War

looks a lot darker compared to the last 3 games, gamewise it seems to be the same though. I still hope it will be closer to the very first GoW because that was, atleast imho, the best GoW game. Good graphics, maybe? Was kinda dark to see that much. New enemies look kinda meh?
The whole time they are chasing that thing, it seems very fast, the moment they fight them they just stand there and shoot...well dunno.

Just read some new information about Fallout 4 - looks like it's gonna be less RPG with lot's of dialogues and become more like action+sims game = BS i will never buy. Looks like they forgot why ppl disliked Fallout 3 (not new vegas).. but.. i think kids will like it anyway. Sad...

Nothing would indicate that Fallout 4 is less RPG, if anything. It seems to empthasize more on the RPG elements. The customization is optional, and having your own personal power armor, or house(s)/forts is a nice addition. It's said to be optional, so you're not forced to it.

The Gears of War WAS NOT AS DARK AS WAS SHOWN ON STREAM. It was pretty terrible hard to see anything, but supposedly - that is not the case what was actually shown. Shit happends, we'll have to wait & see when they post the real-deal on the internets.

I was actually suppose to say something different, but I totally forgot what it was.

Gears of War was my favorite game on xbox <3 hopefully the remakes and gears 4 wont be as bad as judgment. StarWars BattleFront looked nice but the movement looked a lot like Battlefield kinda eh about that but overall i like how it looks and it looks like more intense fights.

Also, where's my Bloodborne to PC announcment :x

EDIT:

I'm sorry but I just have to bring this up.

Whytf are we getting yet ANOTHER Assassin's Creed? I mean seriously. I've heard the same effing shit from this franchise every damn game that comes out every effing week. "Oh but this time you get to play in [some random new time of history]". Frick you.

Assassin's Creed has worn out its welome 7 games ago and the fact that the biggest thing that came out of Assassin's Creed: I'm a Native American and Assassin's Creed: I'm a Pirate has been ship to ship combat is very telling with how effing stale and boring this series has become.

But like the sheeple you are, you line up to eat that shit up. :x

I used to joke about this with Call of Duty where I would say that we would eventually play in space. Well guess what?!?! I should have put money on that.

So I'm telling you bros now that I guarantee that there will be an Assassin's Creed IN SPACEEEEEEE.

I believe Ubisoft said after the first or second game, that they were going to make it approximately a yearly franchise. Can't blame them really. It still sells well despite being pretty same-y throughout. And recently stupidly buggy and microtransaction-y. And has the same central exploration mechanics as all of their other games (climb all these towers pls).

It got really akward when Geoff Keighley interview the CEO regarding the yearly Assassins Creed, and asked for how long they plan on releasing them. I mean, story-wise, they've got to make some progress right? Considering how Assassins Creed 3 ended and all that. He said "I can't tell you that", and well - it's pretty evident they're going to keep milking it until it stops giving them a profit. And when they stop, I expect a reboot in the future. Hue hue.

The Ghost Recon seemed really dope, but as with most things - I'm not going to hold my breath on it. They've said it's not for this year, so I anticipate some downgrades on the visuals. I just hope it doesn't do a Watch Dogs, that would really suck.

It was pretty evident on the "The Division" gameplay that they've downgraded the graphics quite ALOT. I guess it was abit too ahead of it's time when they show that last year, so well - at least it was abit more honest. And I believe they even said it doesn't look as good as last year, but at least the gameplay and everything is coming together more. I wonder how it'll all pan out in the long haul, instance-based and everything.

Rainbow Six: Siege co-op stuff I'm happy over. I just hope I can do it split screen, or 2 player co-op as a mimimum requirement. I had alot of fun with that back in the old days with buddies. I still think it could do with abit more tactical finess and customization to really push it more, but I'm hopeful for abit of beta to play around with it. I wasn't overwhelmed by the first beta tho.

For Honor looks like an amazing fun time to play with buddies. I'm super stoked for that game, I really like the artistic style and presentation. It got painfully obvious tho that they didn't want to fight in a big mob, because the fighting could get really clumsy with the camera and everything - but the concept and everything seems solid. I really hope it does well, and I'm eagerly waiting for a beta signup.

Watched the whole thing for 9 hours now, and there's STILL SONY to go. HALP ME PLZ. It's 3 in the morning here ~~

While I'm still in rant-mode, Final Fantasy is another series that pisses me off. When Final Fantasy XIII came out, I bet nobody was expecting that THAT was the game that Square-Enix would finally settle down on and make a series. Because it was just such an amazing game right? It was soooo deep and compelling. And then they published FFXIV which was such a complete disaster at launch they had to publicly apologize for that mess.

They can't even make the naming system make any god-darn sense either. The Fabula Nova Crystallis series? FF Type-0? XIII, XIII-2 and then Lightning Returns for the third?

The only possible good news is that FFXV looks at least playable and doesn't have some weird as heck name so I can understand what they're doing with it.

I just watched the fanbois cry when it was announced that Final Fantasy VII is going to be remade and they jizzed their pants on stereo. These constant remakes and remixes and whatever the heck you want to call them need to stop and developers need to go back to making new IPs and letting good things die a natural death instead of dragging them out year after year until they're so decrepit no one wants to see them anymore. It's like what the WWE is doing with the Undertaker until they FINALLY realize that he'll break in half if he goes into the ring.

In short: Game developers are running themselves into a corner by not developing new IPs and just turning out the same schlok year after year and it bugs me because people would much rather just play some 20 year old game over what they're putting out now.

P.S.
Am I the only guy who still remembers them teasing a remake of Final Fantasy VII during the PS3 days and them lying about their scenes not being pre-rendered?

There quite a few new IP this time around, Guerillas seems quite interesting. Recore as well, and the rebirth for Shenmue 3 which seemed like it would never happend. E3 has been pretty amazing so far!

FF13 never happend. It's funny how they had to stray away from the name "13" after it's fiasco. (Referring to how they renamed Verus 13 to simply 15 instead). Which is completely understandable. I need to see that game more.

Seems like a bunch of devs really overestimated the capabilities of the new consoles given the graphical downgrades we've seen. Watch Dogs/Witcher 3/Division and also the terrible performance on consoles of some others. Should be less of that now that they know the hardware better.

I personally am fine with remakes for older games such as the new Resident Evil 0 remake and Final Fantasy 7 as the graphics are dated. What bugs me however, are the "definitive edition" games released which are barely five years old. The reason they get away with this is because of the lack of backwards compatability with current gen consoles and it's easy for game developers to make a quick buck. On a related note, there is going to be an update for Xbox One which allows backwards compatability with up to 100 xbox 360 games, but I have doubts whether they would include games which already have been remade for current gen.

Yeah, I'm with you Spartan. Definitive Edition or "HD/Remastered" are less so awesome. Remakes are at least a new take on an already established franchise. I'm sure Final Fantasy 7 will try to deviate from the old path to forge anew one to experience, so it's not just a more colorful game then it's predeccesor, however - I'm sure they'll try to throw in some old scenes for good measure, and to go down the memory lane abit.
