Hotkeys.

Postby bibotot » Wed 24 Jun, 2015 2:43 pm

The new update resets the hotkeys back to its original state. I play Company of Heroes 2 more and want to have the Retreat button to be "T" instead of "X", amongst other changes. Apparently, the files got different, so I would like to know how I can do that.

Thank you for answering.

If you had custom hotkeys go to documents/my games/dow2 retri/settings and there should be LUA file named keydefaultsbackup123821 or something. Just rename it to keydefaults and you're good to go.

I did. It did not work. The hotkeys are for the retail game only. Elite has another one.

They use the same file. Elite's keydefaults will overwrite the old version in the settings folder when Elite is installed. It should be titled "_keydefaults.lua", and after you change the file and save it, delete the "_" from the beginning. That should work as long as there is only one keydefaults file in the folder. So if you made a copy and changed the copy, delete the original.
