I don't know whether this one should be in the Techincal Issues category or not, but here goes. The Carapace Armor gives imunity to supression buff to all nearby infantry. Unfortunately, the Lord General and his retinue themselves do not benefit. As a result, when I rush Havok or Lootas squads, the Lord General squad is supressed while others are not.
Is this an intended feature of the game? If it is, then it's pretty annoying. Can we change it so that the Lord General himself can benefit as well?

Re: Lord General Carapace Armor.
I proposed this years ago. I still think that he and his retinue must benefit from it too.

Btw, why LG can not benefit from his armors? For what kind of balance purpose? Is it just a forgotten issue? He is not too dangereus so I don't think it will hurt balance too much.

Suppression immune LG with commissar and sergeant? No thanks. Sounds way too strong. He's good enough on his own with that roster as he is without him being able to solo SUTs.

Re: Lord General Carapace Armor.
Commissar got armor that grant him suppression immune when he execute, but dont grant it to the squad member of he execute. Lord General grant suppression immunity to all ally units but not to himself - looks pretty fair. (but ofc not fair enough compared to FC shield)

LG suppress immune...
I don't think there is a full understanding displayed of how OP that is/would be.
I mean, you already have the ability to walk up and pew pew the shit out of a setup team in yellow cover or less with this wargear. You have spammable heal packs for 10 power, moves at speed 5.5, and he heals ~300hp at a time. Now you want him to be an easy mode flanking counter to setup teams, which are essentially the only thing that turns the tide against IG in tier 1?
yeesh...

This explained a lot. Thank you.

This does make sense, but it illustrates yet another DOW II design quirk which seems odd at face value and from a 'common sense' point of view:
Does the LG get improved protection from small arms fire through equipping better armour? Yes.
Does it enable him to inspire his men to great feats of courage by allowing them to charge through heavy weapon fire? Yes.
Does it actually affect him directly? No.
Though we've learned to accept these little quirks as an integral part and parcel of DOW II, it's these little things which exarcebate the opacity of the game and which I hope DOW III will address.
