Game won't launch. (Solved)

So I downloaded 2.1 and installed it but the game simply won't launch, the steam loading screen will pop for 1 second and then go away and nothing happens. Vanilla retribution still plays fine, tried the Codex mod and it worked aswell. Same thing happens with the 2.2 beta build.

I tried launching game from desktop shortcut aswell as Launch options inside steam, with the same result. My steam.exe is on a different harddrive from my Dawn of War 2 Retribution install using steam library folders. Tried installing the mod in the steam folder on both harddrives, but no dice. What else can I try?

Update: Uninstalled Retribution and re-installed it on the same hard drive where my steam is installed. Now Elite works just fine, judging from another thread it seems the mod has issues with the game and steam.exe being on seperate hard drives.
