Detection

I'm a relatively new player (in terms of playing outside of crappy AI at least), but I've been looking through all the races, and either there's too little detection or I just can't find it. What units in each race can detect infiltrated units? I was wondering more specifically about Chaos getting pwned by an Ork Kommando spamming the infiltrate global all day, since the only one I know is Heretics w/ Aspiring Champion, though I'm curious what other races' options for detection are.

As for the OP, some factions have 1 and only 1 detector, the rest have 2. For chaos, Heretic AC is your only option. I might be missing something, but here is the list as I know it:
Eldar - DA Warlock, Rangers
IG - Catachans, Sentinel
Nids - Warriors, Venom Brood
Orks - Shoota Nob, Komandos(?)
SM - Scout Sarge
GK - IST Sarge
Chaos - AC tics

Also, Farseer's Farsight, and the Commisars Flare (I think?)

Small followup on this, but where can I find the detection range of units? Is it in the codex someplace?

In unit stats, it has the sight range of units, most units have sight of 40 and detection of 5 so it looks like 40 (5) but for detectors it should have whatever radius they detect in instead of the five.

Sentinel doesn't detect, it merely has the proximity detection range increased from 5 to 15. All detectors detect at range 30 except for rangers that detect at 40. AFAIK

Kommandos, farsight and flare do detect. Also that inquis scan thing ability that no1 ever uses maybe? Oh and do spotters still detect?

T3 lictor also detects, holy pyre ability of the INQ also detects.
Spotters don't detect.

Catachans are the Detectors for IG. Sentinels do indeed have an above average keen sight radius of 15 and AFAIK also count as Detectors.

If they did they could walk right over mines. Unless it was changed recently (and no1 told me ), they don't.

I just checked the SGA files again and attached a screenshot to this post. My understanding would be, that the Sentinel is indeed a detector. I remember though, that we had this discussion somewhere else on the forums and there being several kinds of infiltration.
