Problems with high framerate in menu

Postby terpterp » Sun 02 Aug, 2015 8:04 pm

My video card is in the process of dying, and sometimes crashes when put under a particularly heavy load. I'm able to avoid it except for the Dawn of War II menus. It seems there isn't a framerate limit, and in the menus it gets as high as 1400. If I don't get into a game within a few minutes it crashes. Is there any way I can limit the framerate?

Turn on V-sync in your graphics drivers for Retribution.

alternatively download a program such as MSI afterburner and the program that comes with it; Rivatuner stat server. it allows you to limit your framerate, monitor GPU temperatature, load and fan speed. it may even help you figure out what might be causing your issue. it may not be a case of the video card dying, it certainly doesn't sound like a hardware issue to me.
