Unit/Faction Question

Ok so first off, great mod, love it, really helps keep my interest, and with my attention span that's saying something. Anyway what I wanted to know is if there are plans for new factions or units and maybe more of the cool sub faction re-skins? I really liked the necrons and tau from the original DOW games and would love to see them in game. Now I have no idea how difficult this would be but I'm sure it's easy, and can understand if it's not gonna happen, tho it would be pretty awesome. I can't really play this or any other game online due to horrible internet so more stuff to mess with offline would be great

Yeah would be great, but if you think it's easy then why are Grey Knights in the state they are in now after years being in the mod

There have been plans to add new factions but the models aren't available atm, or are very poor quality, and balancing a new faction/thinking it up is so much work. New units sometimes emerge, though fewer now than before.

oh oops haha that's suppose to say not easy that was a typo, my bad. I know its probably hard, I don't know exactly what is involved in creating a new faction but I'm sure its not an easy process

Short list; Models, animations, voices, Ui text, Ui icons, A reason to incorporate the new unit, Textures, (And now the easier parts, all the parts to make squad) base unit file, any squad leader file, a file for all the weapons the squad uses, a file for any upgrades the squad uses, oh and finally the squad file which connects all that stuff together.

That's just what I recall from DoW1, pretty sure the file structure is similar for DoW2. Been a few years haha.
