A Packet of Questions about Warhammer 40K lore / tabletop / stuff...
The topic seems fair enough to explain my problems so I don't see a real reason to make an intro. Lets directly jump here. However, some of the questions maybe from my lazyness to research but not sure of that.
1 - ) Does Kharn the Betrayer died? If yes, how did Kharn The Betrayer died?
2 - ) What is the difference between pre heresey Iron Hands and Iron Warriors?
3 - ) How can a Space Marine change his ammo? I can't see any spere ammo on his belt or anywhere, specially Terminators? How the can do it with their bold hands?
4 - ) Why table top models are bloddy expensive and why can't we have bigger models just to have it in our house and look at it?
5 - ) How can GW deal with 3D printers?
6 - ) Why can't Eldar just success to increase their number by giving birth? Do they have some kind of phobia about sexual things because of Slaanesh?
7 - ) If an Astartes wants to follow the path to be a Terminator, what he should do? I mean, I don't know the steps clean enough.
8 - ) Does Astra Militarum basicially Imperial Guard?
9 - ) How does Deathwatch works? How do they organize? How do they fight? And why did they needed to create them insted of calling a chapter near by?
10 - ) What is the point of Raven Guard apart? Are they only focused on suprize assaults? Can I be a fanboy of them?

Re: A Packet of Questions about Warhammer 40K lore / tabletop / stuff...
You can find all these answers online too you know.
1) Kharn lives.
2) Iron Warriors were the 4th legion and turned traitor. Iron hands were the 10th Legion and remained loyalists.
3) By reloading
They carry spare ammo on their belts. Their hands functions just the same as ours, and the bolter is massive.
4) Cuz GW has a very bad business model. There are tons of bigger models, even titans as big as a life sized human.
5) D3 printing is not at point atm as far as I know. And I don't think GW cares either, about anything really.
6) They give birth. There are just very few of them left in comparison to for example the human race.
7) They need to ascend to the first company by demonstrating their worth over long years of service as Sergeants. Only the first company gets acces to tactical dreadnought armor (terminator armor). Once in the first company, they go to battle in a manner they see fits best for the situation at hand.
8) The Astra militarium are the Imperial Guard. Just like the Adeptus Astartes are the Space Marines. Official and common name sort of thing.
9) The Deathwatch are a unique and specially trained Space Marine Chapter that dedicates its every hour to xenos hunting. They are the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Xenos, charged with protecting it in its search of information, containment, and ultimate destruction of all xeno species. Rather than following the standard Codex Astartes organization, the Space Marines themselves are drawn from many different chapters. These chapters have sworn sacred oaths to raise a unit of Space Marines specifically for this task. The warriors are then gathered together to fight where and when they are needed.
10) The Raven Guard are superbly skilled in the arts of stealth and misdirection. They favour lighting fast attacks over battles of attrition, seeking to confound and despatch their foes as quickly as possible. Their forces accordingly contain a large number of jump troops, aircraft and scouts. Many other chapters have reservations about their behaviour though, finding their cold, distant, demeanour infuriating. The Raven Guard care little, are secretive and are naturally adverse to unnecessary changes, conversation and banter.

Where the hell are you copying this stuff from?
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.
Re: A Packet of Questions about Warhammer 40K lore / tabletop / stuff...
It's slightly altered from the current SM Codex entry on Raven Guard.

Nice, Riku, good answers and good questions as well flirt. Now is some 1 could answer if the time line is every going to move on, that would be great. Actually the 1 thing i always wanted answering was who was the person who beat Tzzencth's maze guardian who asks riddles and if u answer wrong it eats u. A person described as a young girl beat it somehow and when Tzzencth asked how she got past the wall demon says "She cheated" guessing its the emperor or something but still really mind derped me

Re: A Packet of Questions about Warhammer 40K lore / tabletop / stuff...
If you don't mind i'll expand a little:
2 - ) What is the difference between pre heresey Iron Hands and Iron Warriors?
Iron Hands are a more formal, honorable and spartan Legion, and contemplate and respect technology.
Iron Warriors are just fascinated by big guns, and have a very cynic approach to war. For them technology is just a tool, and friendly fire is just part of the deal.
3 - ) How can a Space Marine change his ammo? I can't see any spere ammo on his belt or anywhere, specially Terminators? How the can do it with their bold hands?
In some books Astartes recharge their weapons even 5 times and more, but yes, this is a detail ignored in most models and artwoks.
4 - ) Why table top models are bloddy expensive and why can't we have bigger models just to have it in our house and look at it?
For bigger things you need to look for ForgeWorld, that is the "more expensive but with bigger and better stuff" division of GW.
They have their own site.
And yes, 40k is expensive to start AND mantain, while giving you very little actual fun.
Avoid if you can, it's like a drug. You know it's bad but you can't get enough.
5 - ) How can GW deal with 3D printers?
By raising the quality. They improve their precision and details so that 3d printing is now a problem for further administration.
Even recasting and cloning have some problems with newer stuff, but there are a few skilled ones that make perfect clones.
6 - ) Why can't Eldar just success to increase their number by giving birth? Do they have some kind of phobia about sexual things because of Slaanesh?
They give birth, but they are still involved in many wars and are few.
Also, they can't stop being total assholes, and that has the side effect of making them primary targets for lascannon shots in the teeth.
7 - ) If an Astartes wants to follow the path to be a Terminator, what he should do? I mean, I don't know the steps clean enough.
Become a Veteran, and the earning the Crux Terminator, the most important honour a Space Marine can get.
Not an easy task.
8 - ) Does Astra Militarum basicially Imperial Guard?
Gothic name vs Low-gothic name.
9 - ) How does Deathwatch works? How do they organize? How do they fight? And why did they needed to create them insted of calling a chapter near by?
See Dark Riku answer.
10 - ) What is the point of Raven Guard apart? Are they only focused on suprize assaults? Can I be a fanboy of them?

Re: A Packet of Questions about Warhammer 40K lore / tabletop / stuff...
I'll add my 5 cents if you don't mind
-1) Kharn lives, because GW (or BL) can't kill that guy because how awesome he is.
-2) Iron Hands is machine fans just like Adeptus Mechanicus, they even believe in Omnissiah. Iron Warriors is cynic techno-maniacs, machines for them are just a tool. They can augment their bodies, but it's because of mutations (they had problems with the instability of gene-seed even before the Horus Heresy). And Iron Hands augment their bodies because if their faith. We can say that the dream of every Space Marine of Iron Hands - become Dreadnaught.
-3) SM recharge their ammo. Most of the art can't show this, but here is some Reasonable Marine from Raptors Chapter in full kit - http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/war ... 0731095626
-4) and -5) is already answered well
-6) Eldar have a very long and complicate reproduction cycle (pregnancy lasts for several years...). Also some Eldar simply can not have children - they may be lost on the path (I don't think Exarchs and Farseers interested in sex per se), or they may die before having children. ELdar don't afraid of sexual things, they simply refer to it with caution so as not to succumb to the dark side of the soul and to avoid contamination of the Great Enemy.(if you're interested, you may read "Path of the Outcast" by Gav Thope, beginning of the second chapter. Also i recommend to read whole trilogy "Path of the Eldar", quite interesting)
-7) Astartes can earn Terminator Honors for outstanding merits and zealous ministry. Those who deserve them - veterans of the Chapters, that's all.
-8) "Astra Militarum" is latinization of "Imperial Guard", as well as the Adeptus Astartes - Space Marines, and Adept Sororitas - Sisters of Battle. Just fetish of GW
-9) and 10) - Riku already gave a proper answers.

So you get pregnant for years, protect your baby from harm and Slaanesh, take care of him for years, ... Then he becames a Dire Avenger and dies in the first combat of the game. I think I am sorry for Eldar now.

Don't be.
They give birth to a God of Chaos, that's how awful they were.
Then, they refuse him as soon as she was born. They could have be the avatars of the new God, but instead they prefer to play the "near extinction" card but still act like they are the best and still believe all other races are inferiors and can't understand them.
They are essentially an hipster teenager.
Half of the problems in the Universe are caused by them not saying stuff and act in "mysterious ways".
Being food for Slaanesh is the best thing they ever done.
Don't be like Eldar. Accept Slaanesh.

Actually, the thing you said somehow makes sence but I need some real examples for saying that they are the main / half of the problem in universe.
Started to feel ignorant already.

So why is Abaddon still the Warmaster of Chaos when he's failed like 12/13 times at his job? Wouldn't somebody better have EVENTUALLY come along?

Don't tell me that you agreed with GW in their decision to make the Eldar a punching bags "cuz spehss mahreens need to defeat someone...". Srsly that's it's awful.

No, quite the opposite, i used to love Eldar and didn't like fact they used to be "a punching bag"
I have a problem now, where Slaanesh, which is the main villain of all 40k storyline, is now a joke because of Eldar.
They now, in the lore, have a serious chance of killing him.
This, for me, it's just unthinkable. This is suppose to be a Grimdark setting, where there is never a happy ending for no-one.
Chaos, the main antagonist, is now a Saturday morning cartoon enemy, and this is killing the setting.
But GW need to sell Eldar, they always were the top Codex but it's now something so OP it's unspeakable, and all the pages are all about how they are not that doomed anymore. It's garbage, it's not easy not to hate Eldar (and Necrons) after that.
I hate this new positivity in all later lore.
Mechanicum allied to Dark Eldar to fix the Golden Throne? Are you kidding me?

In this case, you have chosen incorrect direction of hatred. You see that the root of the problem is GW. Although despite the fact that the Eldar "is not so doomed," Eldar 7E codex is a collection of cool stories about "how Eldar got defeated by almost everyone". As for me, this is the most terrible and stupid. Even undefeated Trazyn the Infinite, who manages to win in the codexes of OTHER races, looks more logical (despite the fact that he literally has never been defeated, if I remember correctly).

Me too, but to be honest, sometimes (read - most of the times) they are so proud and arrogant, and behave like complete bastards (especially corsairs)

It was explain that he didn't actually fail the Crusades, but instead succeed in his objectives.
They weren't the march to Terra that the Imperium thought they were, but instead was a preparation for what's it's coming next.
Also, unite all Chaos is not an easy task. Abaddon is the only strong enough to do so.
There were other Black Crusades, like the one from Jihar the Lacerator (bless his holy name), but they failed to attract all the different warbands.

Besause of the GW business model
. And by the way according to the Black Legion supplement he hadn't failed any of his crusades. Every crusade had its own different goal which was accomplished by Abbaddon. For example, he didn't want to conquer the Gothic Sector during 12 Black Crusade, he just wanted to steal Blackstone Fortresses and managed to do this. Moreover, you should understand that the goal of Chaos Gods is an eternal war all over the universe. If Abaddon wins and destroys the Imperium, there will be no such constant battlefield. That is why they want Abbaddon to lead one crusade after another and to ensure that the galaxy will endlessly burn.Who is online
