Failed to start game (unknown error)

When i try to start the game i get this eror : Failed to start game (unknown error)
Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you try to delete and reinstall?

Can you post the Warnings log, or give any more details relating to the crash or how you installed the mod?

I did reinstal same problem.
Activation context generation failed for "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution\DOW2.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.6195" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

Find the Warnings.txt file at C:\Users\<user>\Documents\my games\dawn of war ii - retribution\Logfiles

Have you started Retribution before? Are you sure you installed to the same folder as your Retribution installation, and is there a folder there called Elite, as well as a file called ELITE.module?

Also, what operating system are you on?

For OS check: Control Panel->System and Security->System ex:

*Is your OS genuine/ do you have from time to time a blue screen popping up asking for activation key?
*Have you fiddled with .NET framework?
*Do you have .net 3,5 and 4.0 on? (i think dow2 requires/ uses 3.5, maybe).
