New player

Postby Dissonance » Mon 12 Oct, 2015 9:59 pm

Hey guys.

My name is Dissonance, and I am brand new to this game. Matchmaking doesn't seem to be working for the Elite Mod, so I was hoping there are some new players on here willing to play some 1v1s with me, and some experienced players willing to show me the ropes. Add me on steam and we can play.

Thanks for any help

If the matchmaking system is greyed out, you have the wrong version installed.

Welcome!
Yeah, if matchmaking is greyed out, wrong version. If you mean it finds no games, yeah that normal not many people searching. You can occasionally find a 1v1, but for 3v3 no one ques. And even then the ranking doesn't work, so you would just be matched against whoever.
So I can only recommend the linked group, and opening your own lobbys named something like "1v1 beginner, help welcome" or something like that.

And most people are really friendly around here (aslong as you don't flame to much about balance :P). If you are really new then I would also recommend playing some 3v3s to test out the later units in a environment where your team can carry you to the late game. Just make sure to join beginner lobbys, or ask the people if they are OK playing with someone newer, or that they balance the teams then. <--- everything from personal experience :D

Getting someone to help you in the beginning is also a great Idea, theres a lot to learn :D (Especially if you want to get into 1v1). The beginners group is perfect for it, or nice individuals here on the Forums that would add you to Steam and help you.
