Replays missing
Replays missing
So I've been on a bit of a hiatus. I've been out of the DOW scene for about a month and wanted to jump back into casting again. However, Before I loaded up DOWII, steam had to give it some sort of update, I have no idea what it did but I didn't think much of it. I downloaded a game (uploaded on the 26th) put it in my mygames/DOWii retribution/playback folder and started the game. When I looked into my game history, nothing showed up. None of my previous games were there nor was the one I just downloaded. Any idea whats going on?

Re: Replays missing
Probably due to Relic's recent update for their new Halloween Blood DLC. None of my replays show up either.
Re: Replays missing
Yea, they bumped the version number for this dlc so older replays are now invalid. Fear not, you can still play them but you need to set the correct version in the replay file header. This is done easily with a hex editor . All you need to do is set the first 2 bytes/hex pairs to "20 28". This is intepreted as 2820 in hex (bytes are swapped) or 10272 in decimal which can be seen in the version string beside the dow logo in the main menu. Save the replay and you are good to go.
edit: wrote a small script that does the above for you http://dawnofwar.info/tools/update_replays.bat. Move it to the same directory as your replays and run it there.

Re: Replays missing
This worked for me. Thanks so much!
I tried to take a look at the script...it was a not-so-subtle reminder that I don't know much about batch commands in windows/DOS.
