Just bought having only played the original DOW. Was wondering if I could get any tips.

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=718 try this wonderful strategy guide from a well known player called Codex. It is mainly for 1v1 games but is also valid for teamgames to some extent. It will give you a layout of what to look out for in this game and what strategic decisions you will be facing.
Another good idea, and probably even better, is to read the Codex provided here. Especially everything about the game mechanics: weapon types, armor types, attack types, etc. Don't underestimate the value of these informations as they are crucial to knowing which fights you can take or should not take.
