How to handle double Sentinel as RA nids?

Hey Everyone,

I've been going watching some replays and reading through the forums trying to get myself back up to snuff with the game. One thing that stuck out to me, partly because I remember how painful it was back in retail, is that I don't know how to adequately handle a double sentinel build as the Ravener Alpha in 2v2 (I mainly play 2v2 as I like to play with my friend).

I saw Floid's post about going triple termagaunts for the build order, but the implementation of his strategy seemed to partly center around having the Hive Tyrant' for support.

Does anyone have any replays they could link where they beat an IG using double sentinels? Looking through gamereplays.org, I've only been able to find replays where toilalee owns the nid player with his double sents. I'd like to see an example of a player successfully countering it, as I have a feeling that some of the necessary micro will not be obvious to me.

In T1 its going to be difficult, you should do the basic 2x terma -> warrior -> ravener brood build and put melee pressure to gm/hwt. Barbed strangler is also really good especially if he gets catachans.

In T2 you simply get zoan + venom brood/ranged synapse + damage synapse on RA, snare one sent with zoan and focus it down. If that isnt enough (it should be) you can use catalyst on venom brood or ravener brood for ultimate melting.

RA is the easiest hero for nids to deal with sentinels, simply because it's ranged and has a pretty good ranged dps, the rest is the same, it's not a matter on how RA has to deal with them, it's a matter how you as a player deals with sent, focus fire it when it's exposed, don't get caught in the trap of "the sent on the front and GMs behind repairing it" where you'll only bleed and not achieve anything, have your hormas or spore mines flank the GMs and have termas/RA focus them down and then focus the sentinel.

Triple termas also work vs double sents because they have low bleed and low power expenditure, but you could also go for ranged ravaners and use their jump ability to assault GM positions and then following with the rest, or the simple barbed strangler warriors + hormas can deal with the GM (ofc all of this relies on your micro of avoiding stomps) and then have your termas/RA focus down 1 of the sents.

Thanks guys, these are awesome answers. I like the range of answers given - I like having flexibility in playstyle (one of the reasons I stopped playing chess and started playing go), and it makes me feel better knowing that there are multiple approaches that work. It also seems clear that the reason I struggled so much against double sents is because my micro leaves much to be desired...so I'll just have to work on getting better.

If either of you happen to play a game where you or an opponent implement said advice, I'd be very grateful if you would upload it to gamereplays and link here It's one thing to understand the abstract idea of a strategy, and another to see it in concrete action.
