Elite mod is haunted... I uninstalled it, and I still can't play retail

I created a steam shortcut and It keeps opening up elite mod. I've even deleted elite-mod, and I when I open up retribution, It still opens up to elite mod... wtf?!?!

I've been trying everything except uninstalling and reinstalling DoW Retribution

If you're using the same shortcut you used to open Elite, then that's the problem. Elite uses an entirely different shortcut. If you check the properties of the shortcut and it has "-modname Elite" on the end of the "Target", you're using the wrong shortcut.

I solved it.

Simply delete '-modname Elite' from set launch options in Steam

For any others with the same problem


Step 1: Go to Steam Library

Step 2: Right click Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2: Retribution

Step 3: Open up properties and click on set launch options

Step 4: REMOVE THE FOLLOWING: -modname Elite

If you ever want to go back to playing Elite mod, simply reenter -modname Elite back into the set launch options!
