Small suggestion?

We all know the impact T2 vehicles have on the game, especially some races like Chaos or in rare instances Orkz with deff dreadz, often leads to a short term base rape until the player hits T2 and gets anithing to damage it, and even then, if its 1 unit its still hard to deal with the vehicle.

I know its your own fault for not teching T2 fast enough or getting juked when you did a heavy t1 and didn't capitalise on it by getting a fast enough gen bash, but let's be honest sometimes its just ridiculous how you loose your squad to a vehicle when you are on your way to T2.

My point is, could you add a third turret behind the base once you hit T2? And it would be an AV turret, SM missile launchers, Eldar, brightlance turret, Chaos I think its lascannon one? (not sure about nids)

It would appear only once T2 hits, it would be enough to slowly scare the vehicle away but not enough for it to completely stop a vehicle from coming into base and finish of a weak squad.Yet if you manage to get a snare unit you could even kill it with the aid of the turret if the enemy is too ballsy.

Its just an ideea and I think it wouldn't be game breaking to the advantage of teching, it would just make players be more careful or mindful when venturing into the enemy base with a vehicle.
I know there has been added a damage resistance when in the base, but lets be honest that didn't change much :D.
So what do ya'all think?

Its been something that has been on my mind for a long time, just wanting to hear some opinions now since it could happen with the current posibilities of modding :geek:

It is already risky sending a vehicle into an enemy base. The game is meant to punish misplays. Your fault if you're behind in tech.

The damage resistance changed everything.

So I disagree with this suggestion :mrgreen:

Please take the time to think of a more descriptive title than "small suggestion"... e.g. "anti-vehicle HQ turrets" or whatever as long as you don't crowd the forum with mysterious topics that say nothing about the content...

chopper, this has only happened to me maybe like 10-20 times in my entire time of playing DoW2. It only really happened when i was new. Now if it ever does happen i am doing it to the enemy. i am afraid this is uneccesary and base dmg reduction buff along with the risk it entails makes this suggestion not needed.

Fair enough, as I said it has just been on the top of my mind, and it wasn't a personal complaint regarding this happening to me too often.

Would have been usefull against that Warpgate an Eldar player planted behind my Base defense a couple of games ago^^

I dont really think its necesarry, it just doesnt happen offten enough to be a real Issue IMHo

The 50% damage reduction from HQ is quite enough. Only the most powerful walkers can kill a hero at base now.

There were a few nice replays by Indrid where a dreadnaut just wreaked havoc in the enemy base since he didnt have AV xD Only one squad, which got tied up by the Dread, and got killed eventually x)
I it gone down to a las cannon squad later while it was busy killing a csm squad in base :D
Its up to the player to decide if its worth it for them to trade a vehicle for an infantry... which usually not an ideal trade ^^;
Especially since most commanders can make short work of a vehicle/walker if they can get close :P (tech marine melta gun for example)

for this issue, it would be better to give detection to the HQ
