More Heroes and Wargear

Will there be more wargears for all heroes?

Will IG get Sergeant Merrick with wargear like heavy bolter/ auto cannon and etc like in campaign

Orkz get a stormboyz heroes?

and will other race get medical support heroes too other then SM?

and etc etc ?

i do know this takes alot of work

If anything you're likely to see a slaanesh subcommander, dreadknight, and Everson assassin at some point in the future. No plans for any other units AFAIK but that's up to caeltos of course. There are some limitations to models available beyond just balancing considerations.

there are quite alot of abilities in the campaign could be used....

for example giving warboss that waagh shout that regen and etc could turn the tide of course the regen hp should be balance enough

was hopping someone look into those to use them

Campaign wargear does not mesh well balance wise with multiplayer.

As for the three Crew listed, the Slaaneshi commander was lost, the Dreadknight is having a baby and the Eversor is held back simply because of the UI problems that without Crumpets may not be fixed.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

What UI problems?

As for balance, surely balance could be tweaked. Using the abilities and art assets as a base would be a good approach, if that's not already done of course!

Adding new armies to the game isn't possible at the moment unless you add them via a hero, and if Cael's intention is to make the Eversor a commander then he wouldn't be able to slot it in with OM as they don't have their own slot on the army selection list (aka you select them via SM).

I remember that someone had fixed that specific problem, no?

As mentioned before, Crumpets was the only one that knew how to work on the UI.
Implementing a new race requires more than just balance. Animations, models, voice acting, ...
And I think non of us wants bad work implemented in Elite.

Dont really want ruined balanced by new shitty stuff. Ppl who ask this should make their own Ultimateshitpocalypses mod for DoW2

Ah I see. Have you considered working around this by making the Commander choice an ingame choice? I'm not aware of the specific trade-offs, it's been a long time since I studied DoW II's Scaleform system.

I know Promythyus from RelicNews made a lot of progress in UI editing for DoW II, did Crumpets work from his work do you know, or did he investigate on his own? More knowledge on the people who've managed UI modding in DoW II would be fantastic, as I tend to archive / backup all modding resources for the community in general.

I used to know quite a bit myself but I have no time at the moment to dedicate to helping you folks out sadly. It's one of those things that is very hard to crack - even modding the UI in DoW 1 was difficult. I was one of the most advanced taskbar modders in that scene, so I tried to do the same for DoW II.

Yes, i think Elite mod almost in the perfect position right now and new stuff just can broke it for months. Just a few things left to do like a little bit love for snipers and im totally happy.

There are a tonne of commanders/abilities/roles that could be included in the game with some simple modding. The problem is, when you add too much to a game like DOWII you make it increasingly difficult to balance. The Elite Mod team doesn't add things on a because-we-can basis.

Personally, I'd love for the Chaos Sorcerer to get the Let the Galaxy Burn! ability through a piece of wargear (like an accessory in the campaign)

I know this will never happen though and I've accepted it
I swear I'm not as bad as this game as it may seem.

I don't know of anyone else but I'd definitely look into who else knows how, it's just a shame that most of them seem to have vanished when they're most needed.

New eye-candy and abilities is always a good thing.

Lets all make the habit to donate more to elite, and then maybe our dreams will come true :)
