Anyway, while I was fooling around with the AI I realized that if you switch fire mode as soon as the FP fires, it will fire again as soon as the fire mode has changed. I don't know if this is normal, I didn't really check the timings of the cooldown + reload of the weapon, but I tried to have 3 FPs to shoot ground, one on Focused, one on Explosive and one constantly switching modes and the latter was definitely more shots than the other two.
