Haywire grenade on Tyrant Guards

I am wondering why haywire works on TG's while not being a vehicle as it says in the codex:
Throws an anti-vehicle grenade at an enemy vehicle or monstrous creature. Haywire grenades do 160 melta damage, reduce speed by 60%, reduce rotation rate by 60%, and disable weapons for 15 seconds. Range 20, cooldown 48 seconds.
Is this suppose to happen or is it a bug? Also why it disables its abilities. Sometimes after getting hit by haywire while getting into shield wall sometimes the abilities bug and you cant un shield your TG idk if this has happened to anyone else but it has happened to me a couple times.

i dont remember it being a monstrous creature i just thought it was inf with SHI lel

yes it has happened a few times but dont have a replay if i can i will try to get one
And it bugs me that it cant use its charge or shield when hit

It is, in fact they are both the same unit type (carnifex).
