Reconnect with Community?

Hello all,
I used to be a common streamer and caster for DoW 2, and with DoW 3 coming out I wanted to reconnect to the community that really started my Warhammer 40K interest So I wanted to find out what was going on with the community, where are people now, and see if I could join a teamspeak or discord server to really get connected again. Especially seeing that the group doesn't have anyone in the chat anymore. :/

Not so sure when you left the community but will tell you what I know.

Some people left due to this game being too old.
Some left because certain changes angered them.
Examples
Eldar - Banshee chasing nurf
Chaos - Unupgraded heretic's combat ability nurf
Nidz - Removal of Zoan snare
IG - GM upkeep reverted back to retri level, Leman Russ damage Resistance removed
Grey Knights - Basically every patch made some ppl angry
Not sure about Ork and SM but certainly some did left

Steam elite mod group's group chat is basically deserted nowadays. Go to discord as Dark Riku suggested.

Announcement of DOW3 and coming of Warhammer Total War made ppl leave too.

I haven't been around for about almost 2-3 years. I stopped playing about the time I started undergrad, but now I need a good fast competitive stress relief, and all other games would take too long to remember mechanics. At least with DoW 2, the tactics are a fast to pick up, and games go about 30 minutes most of the time.

Thanks Riku, for the Discord link. And yeah I saw that people would leave after changes they didn't like, but now the game is virtually always dead. Before there was always at least one or 2 games going at any given time. Oh well I guess though. Hopefully someone can show me the brutal ropes again.

Won't deny that many people left but it is still possible to get games going.

Timezone is the essence. Most of the players are from EU & US so going online during these timezone's afternoon to night time is the key in getting games in weekdays. For weekends, it is easier to get people anytime so no worries there. This site will help you in knowing when is EU & US in afternoon to night time.

Between ~500 and ~900 people are online contently. This includes retail, Elite, last stand, SP and so on though.

atm im the guy who is most online in retail/elite depending if elite has any lobbies open or who i play with.
