Extract Data from Elite Mod

How does one get the stats of things out of the mod itself? I'm pretty OCD about that stuff and end up memorizing tons of stats but Elite so far is very incomplete as far as public info. I would also love to contribute to the wiki/codex. Not promising finishing everything myself, but every little bit helps :)
