Eh btw, I trust people have realized that builds can be modded for labbing (e.g. free T1 nukes) with minimal effort, speeds things up a lot...

Cuz the files i find in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war ii - retribution\ELITE\Data or \DataAttributes all show up gibberish for me.

can is the key word here; sometimes it doesn't do it. this applies to all garrison-able vehicles though and results in the squads inside dying as well in my experience.

I could make a "labbing build" if all you niggas are technically challenged. To change the smallest amount of files with no need to update it every patch, I would make HQs generate tons of resources (including Global) and set T2/3 build times to instant.

Yes you'd have to edit every unit/upgrade separately and redo it whenever a patch changes those. Same with cooldowns sadly.

You cannot shift-click commands that come after a teleport order. e.g.

a) 1. Move to cap point 1, then attack-move to point 2, then move to cap point 3 = AOK
b) 1. Move to cap point 1, then teleport to point 2, then...NOTHING

yeah, i think because they are abilities teleport overrides and then doesn't save anything after it.

I am experiencing crashes to desktop at the end of every game, where the victory/defeat announcement normally occurs. The relic crash window pops up then.

I'm using the mod for the first time recently (thanks to only recently getting tolerably functional hardware...), and I have only downloaded 2.2beta 3 and the beta 4 patch. Are these builds known to be stable without having prior releases downloaded?

I've also noticed a knock-on effect in retail, as I cannot complete a campaign mission due to the same ctd problem, which has never happened prior to installing elite. Although this could easily be ignorance on my part - I saw that retail can be launched independently of Elite via the steam launcher and assumed that meant a purely vanilla retail version. Is it normally necessary to uninstall elite prior to playing retail?

Elite uses/modifies a couple of campaign files so don't launch Elite when you want to play campaign. As for crashes, it seems to work for most people without scandals so no idea.

Verifying the game cache resolved both the Elite crashes and the retail campaign crashes. So something in the game cache was bugged; curious that it didn't cause any problems prior to installing Elite. Which might suggest that verifying the cache caused some Elite files to be overwritten, but so far I have yet to see any instability in my Elite runs.

Thanks for the help guys. (Though you'd think that I would at least thought of verifying the game cache first, but hey... :roll: )

T3 Lictor becomes stunned forever when stomped by a Sentinel. Confirmed, Lictor becomes useless.

The Inquisitorial Storm Troopers really need to get their voice overs back for the next release. It's really difficult to keep track of them if you've sent them out to cap and they're being attacked, and you have your attention on an engagement somewhere else, suddenly you get the message you lost a squad and you look over to where you sent them and they're all dead with no warning. When you're playing you really need these constant feed-backs from units and event cue messages coming in constantly to keep track of things, or most of us do anyway.

If you could get it fixed for your next release that would be great, thank you.
(I know this is on the list but just feel like reminding how annoying this is.)

warboss kustom shoota means you cannot retreat

if you are knocked down by it and he keeps shooting you are dead

eg heroes early game

I'm considering playing him in tourney its so good...

I think this is known already, but has anyone found how to solve the unit suffle problem? You know, when you buy a new unit and it replaces you hero portrait or another unit's protrait. I know you can just assign the keys accordingly, but it's frustrating for those of us you rely on the unit portraits to micro their units.

This also happens with the apothecary MCB full auto. I'm not actually sure why this is, it happens sometimes and not other times...

You need to press retreat when your hero is on the ground and not when he's trying to get back on his feet and gets kb'ed again.

I haven't had issue with this in Elite but perhaps it can still bug out.

hello all.

just installed the elite mod 2.2 b3 + b4 upgrade, but the game won't start. I can start normal dow2 just fine.

i have verified cache, no luck.

specs:

win 7 64 bit
amd 6950


any suggestions?

Not a modder so I can only throw in basic ideas,

You DO own DoW2 Retribution, right?

Not just Dawn of War 2 (vanilla) or Chaos Rising?

( might be a stupid question, but I experienced "problems" like this on many other games/mods, people not realising they got the wrong expansion pack / version or what ever )


Did the installer create a new short cut on your Desktop?

Please give additional details when you experience such an issue. How do you try to launch the game? What does happen when you do so? Where did you install the Elite mod?

Sorcerer's warp global does not (always?) work on bloodcrusher.

Warp will not teleport gk dreads (does it teleport any ally's units?). It just steals my red like a little ghey ;)

LA sometimes bugs and cannot attack when you upgrade his weapon, even if you change weapons he still can't attack or flesh hook or select targets to attack. I suicided him and yep, when he's revived or bought back he still can't attack or hook.

Lictor (normal) is stunned for 40,000 years when stomped by sentinel

Tried retreating hero when he's on the ground like someone said when he's being kb'd by warboss kustom shoota. I first tried timing x, then spamming it and yep I couldn't get out. Is this an occasional bug or does it always happen?

And my lootas decided it was a great idea to keep fighting AC tics in melee when I pressed retreat. Retreat symbol appeared but they kept fighting. They died. Nevva retreat, nevva surrenda!!!

I know that if your hero is in the process of carrying out an action (like using an ability or capping), then you cannot retreat if you get knocked down. This happens, for example, if you get knocked off a cap by the wse's deathspinner, or your painboy gets shotgun blasted while trying to cast a heal, etc.

If you're just walking around aimlessly and you get knocked down by the kustom shoota you should be able to retreat, if not then that's a pretty serious bug and you might want to supply a replay.
