Steam servers too busy to handle your request (installation)

I downloaded elite mod successfully a few days ago, but when I went to play today, it said 'performing first time installation'. I went through this process, but now it keeps saying 'steam servers are too busy to handle your request, error code (53)'. So I can't play at all now

I've been trying all day, even at non-peak times, so I don't think the problem will sort itself. Any ideas what to do?

I think there might be some problems with steam and DoW these days, yesterday my steam would keep trying to sync literally nothing from DoW both at the start up and closing of the game(And this was happening only with DoW not with any other games), that would make me lag alot in-game, I had to fully reinstall both Retribution and the Elite mod from scratch.

Even when I did that during the first installation process it took ALOT of time to go trought it, way more than it should have, but after that everything is working fine now.

So maybe see if you have problems with other games, wait for a few more hours and see if the issue fixes itself or try to reinstall DoW2 completely.
