Nothing urgent, but I got a re-question for the future;
I've been thinking about doing a DEATH WATCH pack for SM.
Do you think it would be possible to remove the eagle from that shoulderpad while leaving that "crest" intact?

Just to be sure, which bit are you referring to as a "crest"?
Could easily get rid of the eagle though.

That upper rim;
Well, I'd need the eagle gone, with everything else still beeing there.

given how relic works it's probably a separate element so worst case scenario you could texture it transparent. should be really simple to remove though.

Transparent Textures are possible?
Thought the DDS format textures are saved in doesnt allow that.
Does it work over the alpha channel?

Yeah, you have to use the alpha for that. But you also have to check the transparency in Santos' Tools or Max since the model has to know how to use the alpha. Unfortunately you can set it only on or off, no gradient support if I'm not mistaken. Shouldn't be a problem in this case though.

if you can only have 0/100% it's some intricacy of dow2, not .dds files.

Uhm I want to use Grey Knight Librarian Helmet but it doesn't work. He has still the old face. I copied the files to the GameAssets\Mods folder but nothing changed.

Yeah that one is not packed up as an sga so you will have to manually replace the old librarian model with the new one.
I'll pack it up today or tomorrow so it can be easily used by people who want it.
Going to try to add some effects to the eyes too.

Grey Knight Librarian with helmet uploaded as an .sga for those who want it.
Also two more DLC packs - Vostroyans and Catachans are up for download in the 1st post.

Enjoy!

Catachans look pretty good in those images.
Any chance to see them in the new patch that is coming?

Plans are to get then all in eventually - as it can be rather dull and time consuming to assign the new models to the new "DLC" colour schemes I imagine they will gradually be introduced over the next series of patches.

I really enjoy your works.
May i do a suggestion?
I saw your Slaanesh DLC, and, as you can see, i'm a huge Slaanesh fan.
Still the DLC have something that didn't quite get me.
The cultists expecially. They just seems to much... clothed, and don't have the same appeal as the Tzeentch ones i saw or the one on the World Bearer DLC.
My suggestion is to make them wear the same armor but without sleeves and make them wear just a hood and maybe a metal mask. Something between fetish and sadistic.
I then found this on google:
http://novafix.files.wordpress.com/2013 ... ltists.jpgthat is pretty much what i was thinking.

No, these are just the files so that modders can use them easily.

As it's just Chaos left on the agenda now I got the Black Legion mini-mod I made packed up - I know Caeltos is a fan of these guys so I threw together a new Terminator head too.
Marine

Aspiring Champ

Terminator

No worries man, probably wouldn't have had enough time to work on them this weekend anyhow.

I got a bucket of questions for you.
I've been thinking for a while now, how to best make an inquisitor who isnt based on a space marine model.
And I think those awesome renders from the Space Marine game come closest to the Lord General and Commissar Lord. And I'd love to do some totally new textures for them, but since it ofcourse would also require alteration to the model I'd like to hear your knowhow first.
In my head, I'd take the Lord General's model ( the one with the brass brestplate ) and make him use the Commissars animations. ( I havent checked, but they seem so similar, I asume that should work. )
But for this to work out how I'd imagine it the LG would need his left arm/sleeve back; and propably even his uhm "coat flap" ( the thing on his chest ) removed.
Thats some very hefty alteration to the model, and I asume its not something thats possible for you, but I just got to ask.
The reason why I wouldnt have suggested the commissar to begin with is the very high belt, unarmored boots and saggy pants, witch would make it hard to retexture them into something more (power)armored.

The new Grey Knight librarian head addon doesn't work for me. I added it in the same mod folder as the enhanced wordbearers dlc (which works fine btw), but the head remains the same in game.

I think the Librarian head is only a modder's resource, if I got that right.

The recent release is an sga file, so it should work.

Yeah it should, worked when I tested it, and tried both different sga packers and the new helm does not show up.
Sometimes this happens with model swaps in Elite - so you'll either have to wait and see if it gets included in the mod or put it in manually.
Download the modder pack and copy the files in elite_beta/data/art and then it will work (just double checked)
The helm looks best if you change secondary and accessory colours to a gold of some kind and then tint to a dark red.

Have found this awesome The Great Crusade armor mini-mod. And it got me all fired-up, I mean, this stuff is like a Shelby Mustang GT for Warhammer - CLASSICS! Would also love to see a complete version the Cataphractii terminator armor and, of course a Contemptor-pattern skin for the Venerable dred. Dear Sterling, could you please consider making a, say, a full Luna Wolves or Emperors Children DLC? (in their very first pre-heresy state with retro-style armory and all?

I do plan on trying to get some more heresy stuff released as the models become available, so may well get round to it in the end.
Focus for now is get the traitor legions all packed up and ready for Elite and then might possibly try to create a Harlequin pack for Elder - might be a little tricky and obviously won't be able to properly replace units with new ones but should look pretty good if all goes to plan.

And then Harlequin can come back and start casting games again?
