I'll keep it simple, you can already print and stick images of magic the gathering cards of the appropriate sizes on pieces of cardboard, and those are usually called "proxies", now you don't see wizard of the coasts actively pursuing players that use this stuff like the inquistion and yet almost nobody uses them, why? Because not only it's legally punishable (and no like I said there is no secret police that will make investigation about this but it happens to not be legal if they somehow hear of this) but also because stores and comic stores or other places where people buy those games and meet up to play or places that host official tournamets BAN this things.
Now this isn't an hard concept to grasp is it?

Does anyone already got it? My question would be that before im putting in all my personal data (and probably selling my soul in the progress, what it looks like) in, is it some kind of "we send you the game per mail in a hardbox and you pay then/before we send" or a digital version like "give us paysafe and we give you account and download, have fun!" ?

I understand you think exclusive tournaments and places to play will be enough to sustain GW for the next hundred years, but unless GW radically changes its business model, it will no longer be around to sanction tournaments or pay the rent. When a casual player can print a legal, open source sci-fi/fantasy army and host his own tournament for 1/10th the cost of a 40k army, people will stop collecting 40k. You should play tabletop because you enjoy it, not because you believe the inflated prices you pay for miniatures today will hold their monetary value. How often do you buy things made in 1914? Why do you play 40k, instead of playing a vintage board game manufactured in the 1920s? If you cannot draw the same conclusion about the future, I will not be able to convince you.

Im not saying GW will last forever, with their recent price increases and shitty models they aren't going to even last 10 years, but their models, the ones you bought and are in YOUR hand and are a property of yours will still be worth, what you paid them, if not more, because there will always be people who will be looking to collect this kind of stuff and also you will still be able to use them to play, instead, games and softwares especially online, multiplayer only will be dead in maximum 10-15 years from their original release date if they are extremely big and much less if they are smaller, and once the official servers are gone all it's gonna be left are shitty and badly scripted private servers that can't even get 50% of the stuff to work.
That's the difference between spending 50 euros on 5 marines and 35 euros for a digital bolter skin in a video game.

Soooo. What now if you have a founders pack? What do these items even do etc? Anyone has any more info?
Gorilla?

Also if anyone is planning on getting a founders pack, please use my recruitment code: EC-OZVT4BVATDHX6. Both the recruit and recruiter get bonus points. Wish I knew this sooner...

Yes I bought it for the ability to see what the game plays like and looks like asap. I plan to get a refund if its not up to par but I do have high hopes. As to your question its a digital copy of the game. I haven't heard of anyone receiving a hardcopy of a alpha/beta game ever so I am not sure where you are getting the idea that they will send you a game.

The founders pack as it stands right now only means you get to play the alpha/beta of the game and depending on how much you spend up front you get to see it 30-60-90 days sooner than other people. For example, people whom pay 40$ like me will have to wait a good 60-90 days, (depending if it works right away or not), before we can access the "modules". The other benefit to spending more is that you have a higher percentage of BONUS points to spend on in game items.
the price I saw earlier for 35$ was a hugely contested thing on the website and Miguel answered by saying, (im summarizing here), that the reason it costs so much is because GW is restricting those types of specific Pre-Heresy items to a MAXIMUM of 5% of the entire player base. With this restriction in place that means the price is a product of supply and demand. The problem is that because the pplayer base can increase and change over time there is a high price to account for those fluctuations. The item itself however is nothing but aesthetic.
Yes. If you plan to buy the founders pack its SUPER DUPER important you get someone to sign up using your code. You both get bonus points when you do so. RTP(rogue trader points) to be exact.

Just aesthetics? So everyone gets the bike, just another looking one. etc?

the people whom pay for the bike get the bike. IN the future they said they would add gameplay items that might increase a certain stat at the cost of another stat...say range for reload time..but since game mechanics arent in..At the moment all items are just aesthetic

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/07/ ... al-crusadewatch the second video for alpha gameplay.
Keep in mind that this is PRE production. So they haven't technically started making the game only making mock up scenarios.
Also this is NOT a current version of the game. From what I understand its like 2-3 behind. The current one has predator tank, transports, and diff in game mechanics not to mention actual texturing and lighting changes.

Liking the MkII armour jump pack, looks decent, animations seem a little flawed, but it is so early in developement. Strange almost cartoon look to some aspects (muzzle flares, targeting reticule).
Still, can't wait to play it.

I love that they want to do every Race justice, I am so happy that there will be 7 basic Eldar classes instead of the 4 the other factions get.
35 $ bolter is way overpriced, and it will be reduced. I think what they said was something like... everyone who buys the 35$ bolter before they change it will get a bonus preheresy item so I guess new prices will be around 20$. (And they are not only visuals as far as I know, the shurikencatapult will set things on fire.)

Speaking of eternal, I think I will be eternally locked out of my account now, since they "migrated" sites, meaning accounts have to be migrated, but I cannot remember my details, so I click forgot password, which sends an email with a link that lets me reset password, but because of the "migration" that account cannot be accessed until migrated, so i just get 404 not found. This is incredibly annoying since my login must be something slightly different to what I normally use because of some reason. Can anyone help?

I feel like this game/company is reaching for the sky. If they can do it fantastic, sign me up. Until they proves themselves however, I remain a skeptic.
